Yeah... "these days". Because this game has been out for THAT long, amirite? "Cheaters", right, because pressing SP is cheating. In any case, I do wish they'd disable SP assist though. That way, if someone wants to be Daigo, they've gotta actually be... Daigo.
I disagree about disabling the SP assist though as it'll keep most people at bay. Not everyone with SP assist ON is a spammer, they just want to have fun and focus on the strategy, timing (moot point with the lag though) and not on the finger gymnastic. If anyone feels he's too good for SFIV on iPhone with SP assist, then they should probably level up and play it on Xbox360 or arcade "thesedays" <-- maybe he's referring to 'playing online games thesedays', not just SF4. Cheaters <-- yeah maybe he used the wrong term.. should've called them spammers.
Confirmed, clear all charaters in arcade mode on normal and Akuma is unlocked! So it does work! Hooray!
You do a focus attack by using the "F" button. There are three levels of the attack depending on how long you hold the button. Tapping the F button is the first level attack. Holding the F button and then letting go when your character flashes white is the second level. And holding F until your character automatically unleashes the attack is the third level. Your character can also absorb 1 hit while holding the focus button, and your focus attack will still be intact. If you press the forward or back direction buttons while holding the focus button, you character will dash in that direction. Note that this will cancel the attack though. I think that's pretty much all there is to know about focus attacks.
Yeah i did mean playing online games theses days and should of said spammers. I havent got a problem with sp assist, i dont use it but if other people want to use it, thats fine. Its the constant spamming of hadouken (or other moves, hadouken is the one ive experienced the most) that really annoys me. Wheres the fun in that!!!! I like to mix it up, combos and planned attacks, always keeping it fresh
I thought there might have been more to focus attack though... no guard break, temporary stun or anything? So what's the role of focus attacks other than the 'absorb attack' part?
Lv2 focus renders your oppoenent defenseless for a while when it is a counterhit, Lv3 does what Lv2 does but also unbloackable and no counter is required. So well-placed Lv2/3 focus can lead to a davastating combo. Agreed, I ran into one rage-quitting loser twice and finished him both times with Raging Demon. Not suprisingly, he quitted both times when the big "天" appears on the screen. It would be really fun if I could see his face... PS: Although some people claim that Akuma is "broken", he is not really that easy to use in online matches since you simply can not pull off those crazy combo easily due to the lagging. Like the console version, airbone fireball is CRUCIAL to Akuma.
Fought someone who used Akuma online, can't really say i'm impressed since all he does is spam hadouken and shoryuken.
Dude, I'm so sorry about today, I'm Fi2o, I was continually getting stupid pop-up notifications, that's why every time fight was about to begging I was forced to disconnect :/ I wish they fix this soon. Also TJ133 is a quitter.
Yeah, fought an Akuma once with WDL 8-2-0. Seems like a noob who unlocked him with solo play and all he did is spamming fireballs.. People think Akuma is so cool without being able to fight properly. Tell you what, a good ChunLi or Dhalsim will beat a crap Akuma easily. Imagine the look on their face!!
I kinda wish my achievement from the previous SF4 is transferred to this one. Things like Survival record (I have 31), beating the tournament with all characters, etc. Can't be bothered to do all those solo achievement again when there's online multiplayer You're not alone. I also notice some lag and stutter than the previous SF4. Overall it feels slower while the previous one runs about as fast as the console version. Maybe they cap the speed so the online play doesn't look too slow. I'm on iPhone 4 no jailbreak as well.
lol, I thought the lag was only only noticeable on 2nd gen devices! Also noticed that the speed of online multiplayer depends on both the player's net speed, played with a couple of people without that much lag on an iPod 2G.
It's all good bro, I had a feeling it was the pop ops, I was having the same issue. Anyway, watch out for that guy, he is a quiter.
