Yea, I haven't been able to get one friendly match going against random. It takes forever to find someone and when it actually does connect to someone, the connection gets dropped before you even have a chance to pick rounds, sp assist, auto block shows up.
Like i said a while ago they gave vanilla characters their vanilla damage which is MUCH higher than the damage yun does in ae. Plus they took away yuns best poke, his genei jin starter, alot of juggles, his best anti air, different divekicks, crossup normals, his best target combo. This is maybe the 4th time ive done this rant lol. But NEVER do yuns ultra at the end of a genei jin because it will be VERY heavily scaled. I like to do a genei jin, finish with back +kick, jump cancel into divekick and then command grab them when they hit the ground. After command grab do back + kick, ultra and it will stilld do 80% damage. Practice the command grab, back + kick first though, the timing can be tricky.
Sagat is for sure the best character in the game. I made a matchup chart its on page 570 if you wanna see my opinion of the characters...
OMG!! All my battle points and achievements are gone!! Wtf! I played this morning and all was fine and now everything is gone! I had over 6000 matches!
That and give everyone their second Ultra's. I love Yun's second Ultra. I was hoping that they'd give him the light Lunge Punch, but it's alright I guess.
Man, there have been a ton of Blanka players lately and that's not a good thing for my Dhalsim. I have a tough time against him with just about every character I use (even Honda although I win more than I lose in this matchup). Between all the Blanka players and a pretty big increase in rage quits (probably due to the sale), this weekend has not been pretty to my record and BP. What strategies to players generally use against Blankas? I never had a ton of trouble with him before, but lately my game has gotten worse. Not sure why but I'm typically just not into matches as much as I previously was.
Second ultras would be sweet but i dont think theyll balance characters to be honest. Light lunge wouldve been much better, thats what I meant when I said they took out some of his juggles. On another note I think the servers are overcrowded. I cant connect to friendly match and volt is now 12 on the Australian app store...
I hate blanka so much. you cant jump from fullscreen because of upball, i cant do that psuedo meaty divekick trick because of electricity and upball. His jump is so hard to anti air. His ultra does soooo much chip. He easily gets out the corner with 1 bar. Oh Ma Gawwwwd. Na i just play this match really really lame. Im guessing dhalsim can punish balls with stretchy punch? Honda definitley can with headbutt. But yea just throw safe yoga fires when he doesnt have meter and charge or is within slide distance. Practice kneeing his jump ins in the training room.
Yeah, then we wouldn't have to EX Tetsuzanko or Ultra after EX Zesshou. But in the corner, I love doing: Kobokushi, EX Nishokyaku, You Hou, EX Tetsuzanko. 641 Damage, 510 stun. Volt is 12 on the Canadian App Store as well.
I don't know about Sim but as Fei I make Blanka bring the fight to me. I wait full screen and punish Blankas attacks. Blanka ball I punish with Rekkas on block. Jump in I use flame kick on reaction or back dash out of range of his shock combo. Slide I usually spend most of my time down back in this match up anyways so I block and punish at the right distance as well it's focus punishable if timed right.
GGs shoryu. Sigh, why do I have to be in Australia. The double whiffed uppercut while you whiffed a grab was pretty ridiculous. And that one time when you had my honda in the corner i have no idea what happened. And atthe end of the guile match I was trying to flash kick but no.... The lag prevails once again. Im pretty sure i wouldve lost with a perfect connection so it doesnt really matter
Thanks for the friendly matches Felix. Snooper wanted to play so that's why I left when I did. Edit: Snooper, the last time we played the lag was better, but either way, it was still fun to play with you. That Akuma double whiff was funny . I got lucky!
Yeah that's the reason we couldn't connect but I was able to play with Fffan. GG bro, I am trying to use Bison and I have a long way to go.
Yea, the only advice I have is that when using Bison, you have to be more aggressive. The staying back technique doesn't seem to work too well when I try it since there's only one option that you can do, headstomp; that's all people will look for when it's 3/4 - full screen. Now, when you get into a close fight, you have a lot more options available and there's less predictability going on.
Looks like you guys maybe right, probably is server overload due to the recent price drop again.. You can currently grab volt for 69p/99c BARGAIN! Oh well, at least i'll get an early night for work tomorrow, instead of up late playing volt lol
My thoughts exactly. And that damn slide sometimes seems like it can go all the way across the screen. I definitely do need to practice his jump ins and getting myself out of the corner once he's in. I know I need to be more defensive and that means being able to respond to jump ins with something other than teleports. With Dhalsim, standing punch punishes Blanka balls but it feels like punching Zangief. I can play great against them most of the time, but they build meter so damn quick and EX Blanka balls punish yoga fires badly. Teleport is very limited for attacks because of electricity.
Good advice. I have a long way to go with him but I may need to start focusing on his matchup with Blanka to go along with Honda.
