    The low tier.
Huh, after reading the above, discovered that you can raw ultra punish any blocked blanka ball with sagat. How did I not know this. I've only been punishing ex ball with Kara tiger uppercut xx ultra. So simple, lol.

I'm always bashing my head against the wall when I attempt to punish a blocked honda headbutt with a blanka ball (it doesn't work). It's like I never learn. Not just that, but the blanka ball can then be punished by the honda headbutt. Doubly-bad.

For anyone playing against hondas, once you get the knockdown, look to just f/b+K to do the blanka hop when honda's down to mess up his headbutt charge (but not his splash charge).
f+K hop followed by a grab is a nice mix-up too.
There isn't much else you can really do to a defensive honda to get chip damage though. boo.

I actually knew about using Ryu's ultra after a blocked ball, I barely beat a 1200 bp blanka once with it. The rest of the time I just waited for his obvious slides and shoryukened. It's when they're better at shortening the distance than I am at elongating it that I find him particularly hard :/

You could also consider cr.k->fireballs when they're on the ground to create distance, and standing kicks or cr.P as anti-air (rather than SRKs).

And as always, save those bars for SRK-fadc recoveries and super->ultras as mid-range anti-air.

I know about the record thing only showing the record prior to playing them but I played a ragequitter twice in one night and both times his record was unchanged.

And some tips on beating sagar would help. I was completely zoned out by this one guy. Tiger shots at distance. Safe tiger knees when I'm in close. Never got in.

The thing that always stuffed me up against sagat was that i didnt block back when i used abel. Its a completely different match with cammy, but with abel, ken, ryu, fei long, dont be afraid to block. This might sound really stupid but i would never want to get chipped by any tiger shots or tiger knees so after they threw a few fireballs i would jump in, get uppercutted and be like WTF sagat is so cheap. and when they started doing those tiger knees i would try to uppercut them on reaction with ryu or roll away with abel and get heavily punished. The thing about this match is you WILL take some chip damage, but its not a huge deal.

then it depends on what character youre using so i cant really give you too many more tips, just be patient, dont be predictable with jumpins, dont focus attack too many fireballs or AT ALL close range and you can punish tiger knees that hit twice but if they hit once theyre safe. ex knee is always safe.

Edit: Just saw that you used fei, theres a really good sagt player on this thread called DROQQA. He also plays fei long so he can give you some advice whenever hes on. But in that matchup you need to walk him to the corner and poke. Lots of sake rekkas, but dont get predictable or youll eat an uppercut. one trick i found would occasionally work is rekka, wait a second, rekka, wait a second, rekka wait a second and then get ready to flame kick the tiger knee or punish the uppercut. and dont be afraid to flame kick fadc on block. one of the reasons fei long is the 2nd best character in ae is this leaves him at +1. then you can throw, block or uppercut (mixups :p). also after a knockdown do the safe crossup trick and then do cr lk X2, cr lp and then rekka if it hits or maybe walk up throw if its blocked. also make sure you punish whiffed uppercuts hard, chicken wing, standing hard punch and then rekka to put them in the corner or flame kick for extra damage. im sure DROQQA will hqve better tips though

Damn Viper looks pretty cool in that outfit. I believe her and Balrog have nice alternate looks, though i havent had a chance to see much others besides them. I should look some up..

Good advice snooper. Fei is def at a disadvantage IMO. But it's a match that can be won. It's all about spacing, you want to try at get to a range just outside of tiger knee. Be confident in the range and when you see him throw the tiger knee, punish with rekkas. I posted this before, but this range is tricky to find because fei's horizontal hitbox gets wider when he crouches. When you get a hard knockdown, cross up with jump k and vary your follow up (flame kicks, rekka, cr. k). EX chicken wing is how your going to spend your meter - learn the spacing very well and punish tiger shots. Know when you can follow up with hp + rekkas or flame kick. Baiting tiger knee/uppercut with focus on opponent wakeup is good now and then - punish with rekkas.

Most of all be patient, take a few risks with flame kicks when you can FADC, eat a lot of chip, and try not to eat huge combos. It's all about figuring out your opponents tendencies and baiting and punishing.

Thanks for the great tips guys!

My problem with this game is that I will never ever get used to the virtual controls.

I mess up on simple things like blocking jumpin attacks and crossings. Or just walking back and forth trying to get close without eating a fireball. Stuff I would never mess up on with an arcade stick.

I remembered a time when the Iphone controls felt strange and foreign.
But overtime, it started to feel natural.
You may want to spend some time while playing the game, whether it be solo or multi-player to look at the controls while trying to pull off some moves.

Perhaps to into the challenge mode and practice the combos until your fingers are accustom to the feel and location of the virtual controls.

If you especially enjoy the console/arcade version it may be worth the time to invest in such practices.

There was a time when I turned off the control visibilities and forgot to turn them back on during a friendly invite. Not wanting to re-invite just to make the proper adjustment, I was lucky to fared well in all the matches because my fingers had remembered where the virtual controls were. :)

GGs jibba. Man i hate guile. I was so psyched to win that :p and omg what can any character besides cammy do against dhalsim? Arghgrhgrhrh?!?!? Btw when you play against cammy dont jump with dhalsim, stand your ground, anti air and punish spiral arrows. Every cammy is gonna jump or spiral arrow eventually lol. Dhalsims knee especially screws all of cammys jumpins

GG Burnt Identity you RAGE QUITTER.

    First Post....

But after a string of disconnectors I gave up and looked at my Player Cards and lo and behold a TouchArcade forum user.

FYI Burnt Identity rage quit and in the last 20 matches DC'ed 3 times.

Anyways great forum and fan/snooper/sho great posts... learn a lot from reading these forums. Albeit I never reach the pinnacle of your skills but at least I can try :p

Good games Snooper. Thanks for the tips. Good stuff. I always stay in the air as Dhalsim against Cammy's because I can confuse the weaker ones. When I'm up against Cammys that knows what their doing, the results to plummet. I'll definitely try this technique. I don't use his knee or long standing kick often enough, aside from characters like Zangief and Abel. I have never really found a good way to punish spiral arrows since she can follow up with a second one so quickly or a cannon spike. Any suggestions?

As for Dhalsim, I think the toughest matchups are fast characters (Cammy, Viper) and very defensive Sagats, Kens and Ryus. And Bison of course, who is in a category of his own.

And as for that Guile/Cammy matchup, I definitely wanted to pull that one out. Thought I had you a couple of times. I was at least glad that I didn't just flat out miss moves like I did in the Guile/Ken matchup. I don't remember exactly how close it was, but I know I totally flaked trying to pull off at least one EX FK on a blocked SRK (I think). Kind of wish I had saved the video of the Guile/Cammy one even though I lost.

Also, any advice on my Chun Li? I know you only saw her once. She's a work in progress.

Go more offensive, more sweeps and hazanshus. If the hazanshu hits ex legs or ex sbk. In the corner hazanshu-ex sbk-ex sbk is like 400 damage or something stupid like that. and if youre at about half screen you can hazanshu-ex legs- ultra. and sweep is a sick anti air if theyre above you or ex sbk if theyre on top. invite me if youre still around, and just say whether you want me to play cammy or ken, i dont mind

Just a mediocre player, but I main Bison (dictator), and training Cody and Balrog. Any tips? Especially anti-air for Bison would be nice.
