Shoryu, how do you beat a spammy viper? Someone who mashes flame kicks when medium range, seismos at long range and uppercut thunder knuckle if you jump in? EDIT: @Snooper, could you elaborate on why Sagat's elbow (I assume you mean his low punch in air elbow in volt?) is so good? It can't cross-up and it has a pretty terrible hit box range. Maybe there's a ton more than meets the eye to it? I'd trade it for Bison's insane-priority ultra-cross-up in air kick in a heartbeat. Also, @CAPCOM - please add ultra 2s. Even as DLC. I don't care. Just add them. Blanka and Zangief would be infinitely better with their alternative ultras.
I fought once against a viper who chosen 5 rounds, the first two this guy beat me by perfect, believe me, I couldn't hit him at least once. Then I learnt how to handle him and on the third round I did the perfect Turns out I could win the game, I don't know, maybe the guy got flustered after the perfect. I actually don't remember the strategy I used to counter his and neither saved the replay, but there is one strategy to easily beat a flame kick spammer viper. All I remember is that I stayed calm and waited for his mistakes. EDIT: As for the Gamecenter, it is really missing a chat option through there, It's really annoying talking through game invites, but I knew some guy who told me he talks through iMessage. Talked to him for 2 hours over there. This is a good substitute since we don't have a good chat on gamecenter.

I'd agree with more characters first, but it's not necessarily better. Although I would agree with getting second ultras for $0.99 - $2.99 if that came around.

no, it was fun - i like that you play a bunch of different characters your Zangief was actually pretty good - it was a really close match the thing that gets me every time about viper is that her crouching kick beats out Sagat's crouching kick - it makes it tough for sagat to get out of thunder knuckle pressure and get his spacing right on tiger knees
that is one trick for C.Viper...actually i have problem with crouching kick+tiger.... yeah i dunno why i using his ultra i just dont think if you will jump... btw if you want training against C.Viper i'm ready...i will spam you with anything i can do with C.Viper....
Yyhakusho's Viper is quite good. Our fights are always really close, but I haven't saved any replays. Next time I play him I'll post some up. I don't have any definite answers yet because Vipers are so rare to come by. Personally I feel Viper is a major challenge for Zangief as well. The fact that she can jump away and spam seismics makes it very hard to reach her. I would say its just as big a threat or greater then Dhalsim's yoga fire because you can chain link the seismics up to 3 maybe 4 times and the moment they connect you get kick in the face with a flaming hot boot. Before you know it, Viper could be back on the other side of the screen again. Since she's always jumping, that reduces the chance of landing a SPD to nil. Your only chance is when she whiffs a heavy thunder knuckle or ultra. Anyways, I will offer what little tips I can for the time being. To get pass the flaming kicks, use jump punch, but punch at the peak of the jump. If she's at medium range, think E. Honda. Do a straight jump and punch. That should punish most if not all flame kicks (maybe? ). Get pass seismics with EX banish/banish flats. Treat the heavy thunder knuckle like you would any SRK and bait for it to come out and punish it with SPD. When you're up close you want to avoid blocking low. She wont throw out seismics at this range, except for ultra if its up. She'll want to go for low flame kicks or ex flame kicks which will obviously hit you in the head if you block low. If its a heavy thunder knuckle, that's even better. You can punish that one easy if you don't hesitate to SPD. You can also use Lariats to be more aggressive, but pay attention to her super and ultra bars. You totally have to play a balance offense with her, because even if you get pass the claws, you still have to deal with the fangs. I hope that sounded like I know what I was talking about lol. Again, she's still somewhat of a mystery to me. Good luck.
I just rage quit for the first time in avery long time. I fought 3500 BP dalsim who spammed the teleport like I've never seen. During our second match (or fifth or sixth round) I got so bored I quit. I just couldn't take it any more. We weren't even fighting. This is the same kind of stuff I was complaining about a couple days ago. Boring me into a win is the most irritating strategy there is. If it was effective, I could maybe understand it, but it's just a cheap, cowardly way of "fighting". It's seems like more and people are doing it and it's really starting to make the game suck. Why would I want to play a game where the loser is the guy who gets bored fastest. I'm against rage quitting, but I honestly think I might start making exceptions for people who won't fight.
