his rolling attack is safe and so is his little jump kick if you space it right. he's got a really good throw range as well. When I play with him i just dance around and try and poke with crouching medium kick, standing hard kick and crouching medium punch. Try and get a knockdown with a slide or throw and then just go to town with the walldives. Maybe the first time do a walldive and then land a safe distance away, baiting the uppercut, then punish with a slide and reset the situation. then it becomes a game of will he go for the izuna drop or will he bait the dp. and never use his super, its easily avoided and doesnt do huge damage. i like to use meter for crouching medium punch-ex walldive-izuna drop and ex anti air kick, because the regular one is really bad for anti air.

The gamble of trying that super is what makes it fun. I think it gets you about 400 damage which is better than any of his combos even with an EX move included.

Randomly ran into Snooper online and I got rocked in a next way...I literally did'nt know what to do. At one point I was using Chun and I just wanted to put my Ipod down on the table as it wouldn't have made any difference to how the fight was going. Seriously, what do you do against that?

    Showed me two things

1)I need to play guys from this forum more often, since I started playing this game the hardest opponents I have fought 3 were from this forum Snooper/Nullroar/Vaceotyn the other was some guy called Yojosuknye.

2)I need to main a character, I typically scroll through characters there are about seven I use somewhat equally and am decent with all of them but feel I need to master one(two at most). Snooper was Cammy...destroyed me, Nullroar was Blanka...destroyed me, Vaceotyn and Yojosuknye were Viper and again destruction followed. At the moment I am a jack of all trades master of none.

When I first started playing Volt I used just Blanka and started getting really good results then got bored and switched to other characters now my Blanka is ass. Played Viper for a while got pretty good, then switched up again, my Viper has held it together more than my Blanka but is several levels down from where it was. Think I need to learn the in's and out's, how to react and punish in every situation and how to approach various match ups with one character. Not sure who yet needs to be someone with tons of attacking options.

Anyways hats off to Snooper, well in mate.

I think I remember you, was it a few hours ago? And Chun Li has TONS of attacking options. Basically you want to throw a slow fireball and then just do a high/low/throw mixup. She's a really strong character, hugely underrated. Theres a guy called one handed terror who plays chun and he has lots of good youtube videos, both tutorials and matches with commentary. Check him out.

Hit me up for a match anytime, Snooper'. And if you want to play some more people on this thread, you should join the next tournament. It should start in about 2 weeks.

If your timing is on, you can slip it in with stealth. Otherwise, it was worth a shot. It doesnt take much to build a few bars back up again...

Yeah it was a couple hours ago we played your yun vs my viper, then your cammy vs my bison/cammy/chun.

With Chun my gameplan is normally do the follow fireball thing, also fish for a untechable knockdown then mix up on wake up with either:- overhead cross-up kick into sweep or throw or light kicks into legs, also pressure with standing pokes into throws/fireballs/hazanshu and try and land hazanshu into ex-legs into ultra or overhead cross-up kick into ex-legs into ultra at some point.

But against you I couldn't do any of that shit because I was too busy getting my ass kicked, most people on Volt give you time to think, plan your attack, regroup if need be, but your Cammy is just so damn aggressive.

Will defo check the one handed terror Chun vids. I've got it narrowed down to Viper, Bison or Chun for a main. Maybe Akuma but I've never really used a shoto so the learning curve would be much higher.

ahhh yea i remember now. lol my yun is pretty trash i was playing so lame.

yea cammy is pretty annoying for chun, hard to anti air her divekicks. and id say go with chun out of the characters you listed. akuma is too well known, people know how to deal with him. bison and viper are pretty good too i guess so its up to you. if only they had dudley, ibuki, rufus or yang in this game :(

A teleport allows me to punish uppercuts and throw attempts, which is why I lean more on that, although I also try for throws/techs once in awhile. Just a bad spot to be in, which is why I like to stay in the air if at all possible. And yeah, that damage is brutal. Right up there with Bison.

I had to run last night because it was real late here and I was exhausted. I'll definitely take you up on it sometime though. Thanks for the matches.

Nice matches. I feel like Guile has almost no options against Viper. I haven't run into the matchup too often but did yesterday and was at a loss for options.

Urgh! Lag really makes it hard to pull off FADC to ultra huh?
Sometimes it doesnt even register. Grrr
Maybe I'll pick another character that isn't too affected by lag. Thats why I enjoy Gief so much. His moves are fairly simple to pull off regardless of lag since he doesnt have complicated combos.
I gotta give props to you guys that play characters that requires combos for their damage. I know its a great feeling to connect that crazy combo, but when you whiff it due to lag and only lag, the frustration is beyond measures.
I'll still dabble with ryu, but I think I'll shop around for another protential.

Edit: Gonna try out E. Honda. He's like Gief and Blanka in one. This is gonna be fun

This sagat should stay more defensive and wait for some mistakes, but he tried to attack her constantly and got countered mostly of the times. Fight against vipers is it, wait for mistakes, otherwise you will get crushed.

This viper is not that good, although she used some combos, she was spamming skills and mostly of them beat his.

Probably this guy thought you were a hacking cheater :D

Which level is the 240dmg turn punch? (without any counter attack)
How long do I have to hold the button in order to reach the maximum level?

I was playing against a really bad Akuma I won the first round and had super going into the second round, spent the second round charging turn punch and dodging fireballs, he had full health I was down to about a third of my health left, he was throwing red fireballs as fast as he could press the button.

I used turn punch to go through a fireball and cancelled into super took all his life in one go, pretty f*cking awesome easily the coolest thing I've done while playing Volt.

Of course the bastard ragequit then sent me a friend request calling me a cheat saying I'd hacked the game or some shit I told him to look up final level turn punch, he said whatever and unfriended me. :D

I had been trying to land that for something like 3 days, haven't been able to land it since though, got tired of losing trying to land it.
