Yeah, I forgot to put that in my edit. You'd have to check the frame data and all, but I usually go for the EX version myself when I'm in that situation. Being able to absorb that extra hit can be the difference between a win and a loss.

Btw, good game! I have a lotta work to do on my Bison I guess lol! I haven't been beat that badly in awhile! Shoulda picked Guile! :D

I'm not familiar with untechable knockdowns. What are they?

'deed I have, and back atcha man! Glad we finally got the connection deal worked out hehe! Your Vega's come a ways since the last time we played! :)

  2. hey bro a untechable knockdown is a knock down that doesn't let you quickstand such as a throw or hard sweep.

Android version only by March or around that. They'll release one version for a specific LG(sponsored) cellphone by the end of the year and 3 months later for the rest.

I have a feeling the Android version will be the real thing, ie. more like the 3DS version. If it was a simple port of Volt there would be no high end devices only-requirements.

I just hope we get the same somewhere down the line. Obviously it would have to be iPhone 4S/iPad 2 and up. I'm getting jealous already.

wow, chun li is so much better than what i thought. great high low mixups from long range too with her sweep/hazanshu, beast pokes, awesome air to air, 200~ damage move that combos off hazanshu or cr lk (ex legs), 1 FRAME SUPER?!?!? full screen fireball punishing ultra that combos very easily in the corner, imo best air to air in the game (air throw and jumping punch X2 juggles) fast walk speed with a slow fireball as a shield, best throw range in the game, auto crossup that beats dps on wakeup and OMG that sweep. im thinking im gonna main her and sagat, she is so good. she loses out to akuma and viper pretty bad though, but every character has bad matchups i guess. just thoughts....

edit: 2nd best throw range, after vega. and i mentioned her air to air twice accidently, but its that good lol

Like XD4RKSH4DOWZX said, if you sweep, throw, super or ultra you get an untechable or 'hard' knockdown. Also some special moves like deejays non ex hundred hand slap type move, abels change of direction and falling sky, akumas demon flip-palm, sakuras sakura otoshi, chun lis ex hazanshu and some others cause an untechable knockdown. The main reason theyre good is for positioning. For example with guile if you do a strong-sonic boom you can follow up with a guile high kick (forward + kick) or for slightly less damage you can sweep and give yourself some breathing space. Its even more useful with characters like abel, cammy and akuma (assuming youre not playing lame lol) because they rely on being in your face. After an untehcable you can do a crossup and keep the pressure on while staying safe from reversal dps. Not that you can cross up with cammy unless you're in the corner but you get the point.

If android version will be like 3ds version I'll change device but knowing capcom and his lazy programmers I think it will be a simple port of the iPhone version!

I'm thinking it's a port too. Otherwise, there would be a lot of raging iPhone users. If it's not a port and more like the 3DS version, then they'll eventually port that better version to the iPhone which isn't a bad idea either and CAPCOM will end up earning even more money from us since they know we'll buy it for +$6.99.

I started playing Street Fighter II way back in elementary and still play it today. It's certainly a well rounded timeless game. Will download this :)

This version is good too! If Capcom adds other 7-8 characters it would be perfect. But for 2 characters we have to wait every time, 1-2 months, and capcom don't set a punctual date for this.

I'd like to see more characters, but having both ultras would be even better. Some ultras are practicly useless agaisnt some characters, so it would be good to have the choice of two once you know what character your opponent is using. But Capcom never actually said they would add more characters, I don't see why everybody is getting angry.

BTW does anyone know if there will be new characters in AE 2012?

Yess got it working on my 2Gen iTouch.
Was on 4.2 and it wouldn't work. (iTunes wouldn't let me sync it)
Fresh restored my iPod, on 4.2.1 now, and for some reason it worked.

    Having a lot of fun.
The framerate seems decent, but I don't know all the combos and stuff yet so I'm not sure if it will affect me with some of the harder ones.

Looking forward to playing some of you :)

Was just watching some alioune videos, im itching for yang so bad, i think hed be so much better than yun, as long as they gave him his light upkicks, low medium kick, ultra 2 and crossup and then he would be top tier for sure.

CAPCOM just received a high investment from LG. SF will be free on some LG devices and I have a feeling that the game will be just like the 3DS version.

Ah. Thanks guys! I don't usually tech my wakeups as it gives me a minute to think and my opponent a minute to wonder, but I'll have to start considering that I suppose.

HEy man, I was in a writing session last night. I'm usually good to play evenings around 7pm US cst.

And I don't think the Android version of the game will be like the 3DS version. Even if the phone could handle the game, I imagine it would be such a battery hog that LG would freak. That and I'm not sure how big the game is file-wise.

slow-fireball with Sweep, slow-fireball with hazanshu, slow-fireball with overhead-flip-kick, slow-fireball with toss gives you four options.

overhead-flip-kick, c.k, c.k, ex-bird, ultra near corners works as well.
