There's a lot of shit that works with lag that wouldnt work otherwise. :/ I usually try to jump when I see someone wind up for a meaty FA, but you could try using whatever your character's Armor Break special is on wakeup. At the very least, you could trade hits and you both take damage and it keeps them from hitting you with something more nasty. On a whole other note, this might sound ridiculous, but I need some help with Guile's last two challenges. #7 I can't quite seem to link the low Jab to the standing Strong, and #8 I'm not sure when to hit the Ultra after the Super. Can anyone shed some light on these mysteries for me?
He's beaten me recently as well (by a sliver in both rounds) but wouldn't give me a rematch. No biggie. But I have no respect for people who ragequit and even less for people who go out of their way to find loopholes to avoid getting tagged with a loss/ranked drop. It only makes it sadder that he does it in friendlies. There are plenty of good players online. I don't have any interest in dealing with players who can't handle losing.
Yup. I hate losing just like anyone else but know that if I quit on someone I'm just going to feel guilty because I know it's wrong. It's just a total lack of respect and I wish people wouldn't waste my time if they're just going to ditch out when I beat them. I gave Dr.MaCKY his win when he beat me and it's pretty pathetic that he wouldn't give the same respect to others. All to get a record that everyone knows is fake (I knew immediately that he wasn't a 4,000 BP player when I played him . . . not even close). I think there's enough evidence already on this guy.
it is easy to do in the corner, ultra will miss few hits and then just make super after guile lands, try it.
I've been pushing for #1 since the game came out. And #2 is a very good idea as well, although I figured that would take too much work for them. In any event, I just assume that people who quit in friendlies are pretty pathetic types who need something in their sad lives to feel good about, even if it's a complete fraud. It may not be true but it makes me feel better about it. As does an occasional GC friend request with nothing but the word "coward."
I actually need help on 6, 7 and 8. On 6 and 7 I'm having a tough time going from standing strong punch to SB. I assume that I have to hold down and back for the crouch punch, then start holding back while hitting punch to hopefully connect with the standing punch, but I then never have enough of a charge to link the SB (although theoretically it seems like I should). I figure the knuckle punch can't be too hard once I get the rest down. Anyway, maybe I'm doing this wrong so hopefully one of the challenge/combo experts can chime in. As for 8, I know there was a discussion many, many pages ago about how to do this. I think it involved whiffing the super to some degree. This makes sense because I've got it down pretty well but always whiff when I get to the ultra. It's annoying.
well you can hold down and back already when you make the jumping punch so then you will have enough charge, it is quite easy challenge then.
For the last challenge, you want be as next to Ryu as possible, then initiate the Sonic Kick when Ryu falls to this height. Everything else will fall into place. edit: As in indication of Ryu's height, observe where his arm is in regards to the health bar. Good Luck
That final challenge requires you to turn SP on, maybe its different on Xbox according to that video title. Ive never been able to pull that one off in training mode though for some reason, i think its pretty useless...
So i found that you can make wakeup reversals whiff if you time a cross up properly after an untechable knockdown, this is why Im switching from cammy, she doesnt have a cross up. Anyway I was wondering, can you cross up with vega at all? Obivously not including wall dives. Its just that he can get untechable knockdowns so eaily with his slide, best throw range in the game and izuna drops. I havent been able to cross up with his jumping punch or kick, but maybe I'm just not doing it right. Thanks.
You know what, you're probably right. Even I have a hell of a time reproducing that combo. My advice from earlier may be a bit off.
I think you can cross up with Vega, but at a high and shallow angle that is not very good for combos unless you get a lot of practice in i guess. Ive been liking him in online games a little lately....building up for that special is a very nice pay-off if you can land that triple drop. Its a gamble though... [^] After trying several times i think i was wrong, hes doesnt seem to have one at all.
Some Armor Break moves have too much of a start up. You might have to use the EX version of it to be safe. I remember I tried the Lv.3 FA though. You have to keep faking it though to see how they react to it. So start up the FA, and backstep when they wake up. Once you do that enough, they'll expect you to backstep. That's when you just keep charging and catch them. Otherwise, they'll just mash away on their SP button. Oh, and one last thing. Make sure they don't have super/ultra built up, or else it's gg. Catching them once on round 2 or 3 is enough to turn the game I think where on the first round you just keep harassing them with backsteps.
hmmm maybe u r right but u knw anything about the release date for android version? next month or end of the year?
A lot of people have complained that the game itself doesn't have retina display while the menus and everything else do.
