Ahhahahahahaha I actually laughed quite hard at this, I'm only 23. Man this whole time I thought we were just a bunch of mid 20's dudes talking about Street Fighter while we were supposed to be working. Kinda makes me feel like a creeeper.
I'm 22 and like Wediafom, I've never played any Street Fighter game before iOS. I've seen friends playing but never had interest on playing, I still ask myself about that. This is the best game I've ever played.
That picture is HILARIOUS! In part because that guy looks kinda like this guy I know who teaches guitar and would probably say something like that. It's funny cuz Street Fighter is about the only fighting game that really seems to span the ages, other than maybe Mortal Kombat which I don't really play anymore. A lot of the other games I play like Guilty Gear, Samurai Shodown, or Vampire Savior don't tend to be played as much by younger people. But now y'all got me feeling like an old man. NINJA EDIT:By the way, Volo, I saw Honda named a car after you. That must be pretty awesome!
@doctormario You mean Hyundai? Actually, Street Fighter is already the inspiration for one car company (Hit: The sumo wrestler doesn't drive a Toyota)
Haha yea needless to say I want that car. Ps. Samurai Showdown was literally my favorite fighter on Genesis when I was a kid. Round 1 EPON!
Hahahahahah! I can only imagine if other characters had car companies named after them.... "the Balrog F3whatever, a truck that packs a punch!" Dude, I'd donate, like ten bucks to the cause! ;-D I went back and started playing SS 3&4 again. They get a lot of shit (and SSVSpecial is still the best one imo) but they're bot excellent games. Fire up MAME and check em out especially v Special Uncensored if you haven't already!
Round 5 of the Round Robin Tournament is up! 5 rounds in, I'm really happy how well things have gone, thanks you guys!
You remember how some of the machines actually HAD little plastic holders that would hold up to 10 quarters? I miss arcades. I'm lucky to have a really great one here in Nashville, I just don't have the time to go a lot. :-/
I've never seen the little plastic holders. The worst was there was a gap between the arcade cabinet and the screen, and quarters would drop inside the gap .. NOoooOOOOoOO!!! All the arcades in downtown toronto have closed down. The few still available are in the suburbs.
I think those coin holders are pretty common nowadays, but they didn't have them for the longest time. Back then we would just place the coins where ever they wouldn't fall off and remember who placed them there first. Lol, those were the days... Too bad arcades are slowly dying these days. They just can't compete with today's online and portable gaming. edit: LOL, yea, I hate it when that happens.
This statement bums me out because it's really true. I used to love going to the mall when I was a kid because of the huge arcade they had but as online gaming and handheld became more common people slowly stopped going and they closed down. It's not to say that sitting at home by yourself is any real fun at all but people cant be bothered to go somewhere to enjoy something with people. Online gaming has essentially done to social gaming what Facebook has done to social living. (gets off soap box) Speaking of social gaming I know I asked thousands of pages back but does anyone play AE 360 or PSN and if you do we should play I need some sparring partners.
Where have you guys been? Arcades died a long time ago. They might still be around, but years ago they were everywhere and were big hangout spots. That ended like 15 years ago.
