I don't drink, so I guess I'll never understand, but the idea of playing competitive gaming under the influence perplexes me.
    Is it really that fun?

Also, there are rage quitters in every bracket. Perhaps less so in the higher ups, but definitely not non existence.
I've beaten a few 3k and 4k players who are pure rage quitters that exploit the disconnect trick to preserve their BP.

As a rule of thumb, all games are more fun when you're drinking.
I don't play to win. I just want to fight. Losing doesn't bother me, but everybody starts quitting and playing like a bunch of tools, it stops being fun. I'd much rather play good players and lose than play noobs and jut get annoyed.

Dang Vaceotyn, great games! I hadn't played in a bit and that was just what the doctor ordered to get me back into shape! Each and every one of those matches was an absolute nail-biter! :)

Haha yea, especially the Fei Long and Balrog matches. I should have finished you off in the Balrog match, but I whiffed the entire ultra after the headbutt...
I don't play him much, so I got the timing wrong. After that, I knew one of your sonic booms would finish me off, even though I got over a few of them. Great games Doc!

    LOL fair enough.
Unfortunately, low alcohol tolerance runs in my family's genes, so I'll never experience such pleasures. :(

As for playing for enjoyment, I mainly stick with friendly matches. It's more relaxing with no pressure of losing or gaining BP. And the wait for match ups are much much shorter. And I'm sure there's relatively a lot less quitters too.

Yeah, after taking a break and realizing how ridiculous Ranked is I think in just gonna stick with Friendly too and try to play my friends (many of yall) more rather than random idiots.

Hehe yeah that happens to me too. I'll want to finish someone with a certain move or try to work something in. Then after I lose, I'm like, "Damn, I shoulda just gone for the jab." I enjoyed it!

If anyone wants to play a few, get at me right now. I'll be here for a half hour or so.

Good games Docta. Sorry if the dropped match was on my end. You play a very different Guile than I'm used to, especially in the matches that I played Dhalsim. Really enjoyed the matches.

Welcome! Did you come here after I told n3ro to tell you?

Everyone download palringo and join "street fighter iv volt". It's much easier chatting that way compared to sending msgs through invites.

It started about 1 month ago, a round a week.

DoctaMario, along with the Round Robin, maybe we can have a Bracket format tournament too? That way, the new people that are joining in on the forums can participate too. It's a faster format too. We can just do a random selection without ranking anyone.
