So this came up on my youtube.

I didn't know there was a China scene for Volt. Anyone have info for that?

I honestly think almost all of my online matches are from China. So this doesn't surprise me.

    Happy new year guys.

What about that 1f combo challenge? Is it still on?

Not much actually, mostly because I don't know which links are 1f.
I think my best is only three links. What about your combo?

ADDED: Maybe a character by character case would be more appropriate. For example, has Makoto's combo
    st.mp x2, cr.mp
two 1f links? Can she do more?

Well Makoto can do s.MP x3, cr.MP xx Hayate, FADC, s.MP x3, cr.MP xx Hayate, FADC, s.MP x3, cr.MP xx Hayate on Bison for a total of 11 1frame links. Damn that's better than what I came up with originally.

I had Gief doing s.LK (CH), s.LK x4 xx EX Banishing Flat, FADC, s.LK x2 xx Banishing Flat for 6 1f links. I also had a Vega combo since his cr.LP linking to itself is a 1f link

That's about the rep I was thinking, but I had no idea that she could do s.MP x3 on Bison. Amazing.
However, I still cannot go beyond the first rep with any consistency (but my personal best is now 5).

With the release of sf5 do you think there is a chance of seeing a IOS release of a new street fighter game or a update to the old. I just don't understand why we don't have a new game. It would sell like hot cakes and I would gladly pay $19.99 for a good port.

It there is any chance, there's a 50/50 probability that it'll be freemuim.

No idea or news on a mobile port. Of course it would sell well, but does that justify the cost of making it, considering it isn't a port? Don't forget Capcom as a company has been doing badly and making good decisions has never been their strong suit. But also, Capcom is shitty with announcements sometimes. I remember the only clue we got about MVC2 coming out on iOS was a message on twitter

It will likely be a freemium model, but similar to SFV and LoL, where you can unlock extra costumes/content/characters for money but you can always earn them in-game. I hope to god it's this.

I also posted in the whatsap group a giant advertisement for SFIV Battle Protocol I encountered in Taiwpei, Taiwan, so stuff like that is still advertised.

I'm ok with the freemium format, as long as there is a (reasonably priced) option "buy everything and play for any amount of time."

Probably not gonna happen but there was a rumor based off a concept image that we could see a SFV for iOS. Not holding my breath considering CAPCOM's financial problems.

But in gonna be playing SFV once it drops soon so I don't think I'm gonna be going back to my IV on my phone allot.

It always makes me laugh when dudes who have way more losses than wins RQ. Like some guy with LITERALLY over 10k losses just quit on me. When you have that many losses, why put the extra stress on your home button at that point? #

It's the salt. People are so salty.

Sometimes I run into people who lose to me 4 times then on the 5th time, they RQ. Or people who have much lower BP than me, I beat them up 6+ times in a row, then they run away after they win one (probably because I picked DeeJay or something) because they got 110+ BP in that match

It's funny how people behave when points/records that don't really mean anything are on the line. Ah well.

So I've been playing a lot of Ryu mirrors lately. Maj wrote this article on how a Ryu mirror is possibly the most interesting matchup in any SF game because Ryu is always a footsies character and pretty much has an answer to anything, and because of this, playing a Ryu mirror is a good indication of how good your footsies are. I have to say mine have improved quite a bit since I've been playing more Ryu, and it's really carried over even to my Guilty Gear playing.
