What's up guys? Long time no see! I have a question for the experts. I like to punish Blanka's rainbow roll by reacting with focus. Ofttimes the roll just breaks armor, and I assume it happens because it's considered reversal. Why would it be reversal even if I tapped focus after the beginning of the roll's animation? In training it almost *never* happens (once after 5 mins of trying). Notice that it breaks armor with the cracking sound, so it is not counterhit because of the focus being released too soon, and is not on wakeup. Strangely, it seems to happen more with some opponents, making me starting to think it could be a synchronization problem between the two devices so that the "host" thinks I tapped focus in a reversal window. Any idea?
Reversals are when the move is inputted in the first few frames as soon as it is able to be performed. This is after wakeup or blocking an attack. It has no relationship with when yu start your focus
Yeah, but then if the roll starts on wakeup it has reversal properties and it can break focus, which is what I meant. Edit: Oh I see, you referred to the other thing. Ok.

Wow, bad timing! I was just about to get this and SFxT since I've started to get into fighting games recently. Is the game still playable against the A.I? Would that even be worth it?
It's working again. Not sure about SFxT but Volt is quite buggy with the latest update. I personally, still play a lot of arcade mode these days.
Thanks for the quick response. Would you recommend it to a newcomer or is it not worth the effort? Additional question, is the online player base dead at this point from what you've seen? I probably wouldn't go near it anyways but it would be a nice bonus to have.
It's actually a good method for learning basics like footsies and all that if you play with SP Assist on. That way you don't really have to worry about the controls, just the strategy. And there are still people playing. Not a lot of people but every time I log on and try to find games I'm able to.
