Should've read the location first I got the request, but we are a bit far away. I'll try to invite you for a match next time I play nonetheless. In feb I should get better internet anyhow. Since harle brought it up: there are some weird behaviors recently with gamecenter (lost invites/friends in my case). Also my SF app has some strange bug. Sometimes when a match is at the "connecting" stage, it just freezes without showing the menu where one choses sp/autoblock on/off and advances with "ok". One way that I found to de-freeze it is by double tapping the home button and then re-entering the game immediately (like when some nice players use to ruin your long genei combos). This often brings up the menu and most importantly the button to go on.
I belong to those that do not see it as a sin. In any case, I think that the feature that makes volt so much easier than the console version is the automatic shortcut to dash out of fadc, rather than sp on/off. Obviously there are exceptions, like Sim which is harder to play on volt (with SP off) than on console.
Not sure if joking or serious About the trick to cause lag, I never knew about it. That's really sad if people actually abuse it.
K...I added you, I'm in desperate need of help... My online ranked statistics are horrible... Like 15w - 130L.. And I don't think I'm that bad..it's just I think playing Yun is pretty hard..I'm not sure exactly but I'm thinking he's really difficult to use(he has no ranged projectiles and no easy/cheap spamable moves... I've learned that before I can even begin to get any better I have to learn how and when to block... From watching Tenonez.. I can see how important that is... Also playing With Yun you need to have mastered his bread and butter comboes along with being able to juggle and improvise etc... I'm rely dedicated to getting better and even if Yun is a hard character to use I'm willing to learn and practice...
Hey captyadier wanna play now? In friendly match? Meh...dang r u dropping on purpose or is it a bad conection? Ya I know I'm not that good :/ Dangit...can't get a good connection I guess
Some of those combos were from "forged" replays. After a (hard) knockdown I usually try to mindf**k the opponent by using fake palms and then either nothing, palm or command grab at wake up. After a lunge punch or any other move that leaves the opponent far or when you're just far try to whiff as many palms as possible to fill the meter bars fast. To finish your PKP blockstrings either go for shoulder, which is a true safe blockstring, or palm, for a frame trap. Two or more cr.LK and then walk and command grab is difficult to see it coming. Shoulder can be used to punish FBs (it's a low profile move). You can punish bad cr.MK xx FB for example.
There's no secret, I was just being funny. A couple of them are tool assisted but all but 4 of them are legit.
Thanks for the advice... I got lucky and was matched up against a few people that weren't that good so I actually have a few BP now..although my record is still like 20 and 120 :/ Anyways are you Tenonez? Or is he someone else?(does he post here?) I love watching him because he shows that Yun can be really good against anyone( or almost?) His abilty to read opponents, pull off crazy comboes, keep his patience, make comebacks etc... Is all pretty amazing... And makes me want to get better... For practice I'm trying to just block everything possible for as long as I can...cuz it seems like that's a must for getting to the next level(though I'm not sure if that's the #1 most important thing but it looks that way.) I guess knowing every characters moves is also pretty important and how to combo and when etc.. I dunno it looks like to Play Yun you have to be extrey patient and when you go on the offensive to attack you better have everything down pat.. I'm sick of loosing to opponents spamming Fireballs etc.. Then just using uppercuts etc.. :/ I dunno why I can't get around those cheap tactics? I think I play better against people that play using all tactics with deep understanding of their characters etc.( I know I definitely learn more atleast even if I do get beat pretty soundly) Well I guess that's about all I have to say except I wish I could play someone here and practice without connection problems etc... :/ *Also is there an official tier list and/or specific match up ratings for this game?
Tenonez is a unique player. He is all about baiting and playing patiently. He knows how to counter with normals really well and he knows how to get and exploit blocking mechanics. And it's not that yun can be good against anyone, it's that Tenonez can be good against anyone. When he learns a new character he learns everything! To get to Tenonez level, you not only have to master your character but you also need to be knowledgable about the characters you play against. Good luck!
TenOnez used to post here. We're not sure where he is currently. My matchup chart https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1I5c8D7BQ9sku5lMrMVQXDMegV-9rQXRoyrYalkxnMNE/edit?usp=drive_web
This is the most accurate as it was discussed for weeks for each matchup and character. You can also find the discussion right there aswell in the sheets.
I've seen tenonez in another forum for another app called Brave Frontier, was surprised to see him there.
Lol I loved reading every matchup against Sakura. Seemed like you got more pessimistic with each matchup against her.
Just played a guy named 'From Somewhere' and he beat me 7 times with his Sagat as I used Chun. I thought maybe it was the match up but then he proceeded to beat me with his Fei and Dhalsim. He's really good, maybe rank him as good or maybe even better than tenonez.
