So I'm noticing that ragequitting with the jailbreak loophole (for lack of a better term) is becoming pretty rampant. I am seeing a ton of quitters lately and can predict many of them just by their records and play. Just as an example, I played ParadoXxx14 yesterday. His record was 1,009 - 28 and he had 6,544 BP. Yet, he was a pretty mediocre player. I refuse to get a ranked drop on my record so I played him, lost by a sliver and that was that. But it drove me nuts knowing that if I had won by a sliver, I would not have been credited with the win because he would have quit without taking a loss. It's really sad that people care so much about having a fake record that they take some of the fun out of the game for others.
Ya, the RQ exploits is definitely back. When I win, pple RQ and I immediately continue and face the same opponent, their BPs are the same.
Yea I just ragequitted my last 10 or so matches to see what happened. First few times I didnt lose BP , but after like the 4th time onwards i lost 150 bp. so from now on if i see someone with like 800-2 ill just quit straight up. lost about 800 bp in the process but who really cares anyway.
hi guys, i just pacthed to 1.02.. but i cant find any players thru wifi to VS... wat happened? tried uninstall n install... still the same. NEED HELP
PS : If you quit during the "VS" screen, you will NOT lose BP (i'm using this when facing someone who most likely will ragequit...)
Greetings fellow world warriors. Nullroar, so this is where you hang out huh? Great matches btw. You've really improved since we last fought. Keep it up and keep bringing it! Cheers!
Haha, excellent matches man! Also, whatever msg you just sent me flickered on my screen and died before I could read. PM me! But yeah, I chill here. 3/30 though...dear lord, I thought I had improved, but I'm still nowhere close. Playing you is nerve-racking. As Sagat, I swear to god I FADCed the first two fatal uppercuts. Then as Ryu, I was still so messed up over missing one, that I FADCed into the forward kick before ultra...(Sagat's combo)...instead whiffing the kick and not getting to do ultra. Boy, I was kinda angry :d Not that it would have mattered. It's like you have some sort of psychic link knowing what I'm going to do. I really, REALLY thought my Dhalsim was good enough. : ( As for Blanka...dear god, man, I have a family, have some mercy. You need to get in on the next tournament we have here.
Your Akuma and Sagat got a lot better. Those Akuma corner teleports really juked me! And that lost with Sagat... LOL so close, I was a micro second too slow with the bait and got hit... i should have just backed up knowing you're going for the uppdercut FADC and hope to command grab in time. Your Sim's pretty good. I used to fear him so much, argh! Fighting him requires so much patiences.. and almost every other character Tourney sounds fun, but i don't have a lot of play time these days with work and all. Anyways, I had a lot of fun with your play style. Your mixups are good and you adapt really well. Kept me on my toes the whole time!
Actually, you pretty much baited me and got a few perfects in on your mixups alone. I'll get better, though. Definitely going to experiment with Chun more, as I think she really has potential with that insane-range sweep, high-priority kicks and unexpected forward flip lunge. Was really interested in how that Honda match worked out - you punished the headbutt a few times, but i've never been fast enough to that - what's the secret? : D
I am, add me on gamecenter: SergioFilhow EDIT: Good games man, even though we played only 3 games. I'm still training on Ryu, just started yesterday Invite me anytime!
Your Ryu's ok, and yeah, those were some good games. I panicked when the Ruffian Kick actually landed and accidentally backdashed instead of forward so I wasn't able to link the Ultra in. xD Yeah, I was playing Ryu and developed a flashy corner combo, although it needs a full super meter. And only does 497 damage or something like that. D: It's: Jump Kick, Punch, Hadoken xx Focus Attack, dash forward, Punch xx Shoryuken xx FADC backwards, Metsu Hadoken. Unfortunately, it only works in the corner or very close to the corner. On a different note, I'm getting SSFIV:AE for the PC soon.
Urgh, Chun Li scares me. Her sweep range with overhead mixups and fireball combinations really gives me a hard time when zoned properly. You got me good. I think punishing Honda's headbutt with Gief's mp really depends on luck. From what I can tell, the distance from which he springs back from a blocked headbutt depends on where his head made contact during a block. It seems to be random. The deeper the contact is, the easier it is to punish. Here's what I mean. His head doesn't always seem to hit the same spot and I don't know why. So depending on where his head lands and the alignment of solar system during an eclipse, you can punish it easily, or miss or even get blocked. What I do is just hold forward during a block, time the mp, and hope it punishes.
Stun What's the most stun you've done in a combo? I've done 800 stun with Ryu with this combo: Jump Kick, Standing Punch, Hadouken xx Focus Attack (Level 2), dash forward, Standing Punch, EX Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, EX Shoryuken (wait half a second to connect both hits). 486 Damage and 800 stun. Although it uses all of the super meter... but this is just for fun.
894 damage, 400 stun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p-2dmOw7fw Why must blanka take damage like that?! @Shoryutofu Thanks a ton for the pics and explanation. Gonna jump in training and practice it. One last question: Do you have trouble against Able players? Not terrible ones like me, but folks who use it as their main? What is your strategy against them? As Gief, fighting Able / Dhalsim / Sagat was always a nightmare for me.
Playing against a 'main' Abel is scary and frustrating as hell. First thing is to get pass the wheel kick zoning. Learn its range and counter with mp from afar and double lariat at mid range. Avoid jumping to get in. Once in, play like you would against Gief, accept use command throws, supers, and ultras at max range to avoid Tornado Throw, unless of course, you're punishing a whiffed move. Abel's Tornado Throw has priority over EVERYTHING Gief has to offer except for mp at max range. I like to mp poke at him when he doesn't have supers or ultras up. It's so fun, but he can roll out of it. I try to avoid his rolls with jumps instead of pulling a command grab. And this should go without saying, but always mix up your ground and air game. lol was that helpful?
