Yea I know I can do that. I'm always watching tv and stuff while playing though so it doesn't bother me at all to let him waste his time for nothing. I did the friendlies thing last night it does help ease the frustration.

I fought a Guile in friendlies and we had a round of 95% flash kicks it was hilarious both of us trying to guess when the other was going to go haha.

    If only I knew
Either just DC on the VS screen or: do use the glitch to save the RQ replay, and then send replay link to them on friend request :D :D

works for me; now if any of these guys ever see me again they just dc right away, even before a match

I'll try it then. I'm just quite bored of the training stage, and for a CMV it's even worse.

Also, dafuq with the online of USFIV PC. The lag spikes are ridiculous.

Maximilian was complaining of the PC lag in one of his videos. He claims that the "bars" are not representative of the actual ping at all, but you are more likely to find good connections by picking up the first names on the list of players (even if the bars give a yellow or red connection). I find this partly true for PS3 too.

GG Xion! Wish I could've gotten a few more Vega matches in before the DC.

I've never been able to do motions on the phone, so I've needed to use SP for every character except Vega (it changes only one of his moves). So those Ryu/Fei matches went pretty much how I expected. Terribly. xD

But it's not just generic lag. Even with people from my country once in a while there's a HUGE lag spike for no reason. When it goes away, the game plays smoothly again, but then huge lag spike again. It's really annoying.

Tomorrow there will be a Steam beta for USFIV to help solve those issues.

    Ken matchups
    Makoto: 6-4
Ken has good buttons and good footsies.
    M. Bison: 4.5-5.5
Bison has better footsies and does well at more ranges.
    Ryu: 4.5-5.5
Ryu has more reliable ultra and better lameout tools
    Sagat: 4-6
    Sagat OP
    Sakura: 6-4
Ken doesn't need to worry about cr.MK xx hadouken being an airtight blockstring. Sakura is just too easy to bully.
    Vega: 5-5
Quite fair. Ken can't chase backflips well.
    Yun: 5.5-4.5
DPs beat divekick and Yun's stamina is too low.
    Zangief: 4.5-5.5
Hard to zone out Gief with Ken's fireball.

Guile's cr.hp can be punished by 3f reversals... On hit!? I always thought I wasn't blocking right.

    Yooooo Kev!

Great games yesterday & today dude!
Even though I'm getting beaten pretty badly, they are fun games and I am slowly getting better at blocking those horrible Vega mixups!

That Ken vs Gouki match - air ex tatsu vs ken ultra! XD so funny!

Just to let you guys know, I am playing little bits of Volt, I'm trying to main Gouki now and represent him as positive role for off-off gameplay.

Probably play you same time, tomorrow morning? It's usually 9:30am I get to uni here and jump on some Volt.

Shotos: Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Sagat, Guile can all play the lame keep away game against honda. Once they are up close they dont have a chance. Usually the player who loses patient loses the game.

Other bad matches up for honda include the turtler Blanka (weird hit box), a great vega (mix ups can be bad for honda), a great yun (tenonez the only Yun i care for),
sim is a 5-5 for honda (its about knowing your opponent style) sim can keep away all day but one mix up its over.
The rest are not good against honda. Once honda finds his range of footsie and safe distance to neutral the air its over

cr.HP unsafe on hit. Pretty awkward. But at least you can cancel into super or FADC out

the CPU can cheat with charge moves. So technically they could do stuff like EX HHS (going forward), EX headbutt or EX Zonk, FADC, EX Zonk

In USF, if I charge fully only one of cody's punches, but release two, what do I get? ex or non ex? In volt I tried charging P and releasing simultaneously P+SP but I'm getting normal zonk (I kind of remember ending in AE the b&b with ex zonk in this way, but could be mistaken).

Back to the guile thing. Interestingly, as said before, guile's cr.hp is punished by ken's srk both on hit and on block. If guile fadc back out of it, then the srk whiffs both on hit and on block, but on block it is possible to punish the backdash with ex tatsu. So theoretically there is no way to have a completely safe blocked cr.hp with guile against meterful ken.

Ex criminal upper punishes guile's backdash as well. What a shitty backdash.

In USFIV Guile's cr.HP is also punishable on both hit (-4) and block (-9).

You still need to charge the move. So you need to charge the EX and release EX for the EX version. Same as console.

Just use cr.HP as anti-air. The top of the arm is invincible to high tiger shot since it's crouching

Even though it was an impossible combo (or at least near to impossible), that's not what I meant. Most of the time when I get knockeddown, the AI uses a move that won't hit me at all, like Ryu's AI performing a SRK after a j.MP (2 hits). Cody's AI just surprised me because it actually followed that Bad Stone with something that would actually combo (Zonk Knuckle).

Actually I think that Cody's AI may be the best in the game. It sures knows how to AA with Jaw Crusher and doesn't seem to have any exploitable behavior (like all characters with a DP performing it after Akuma's Tatsu, st.HP xx Demon Flip Dive Kick reset). If you FA too much he will answer with a Zonk or a EX Ruffian Kick, and if he AAs you he'll continue most of the time with a Ruffian Kick as long as you're near enough.

Kinda funny how the worst character in the game has the best AI.

    Cammy vs sim...wtf!

What can sim do against cammy? I'm playing the CPU on grueling and so far this is the worst match up I've encountered, worse than sim vs bison. He's too slow to block and counter and her moves either go under or above his.
