You know the world is a different place when you state something like this.

Ok, if you guys put it like this I see the point and agree.

Abel has a couple of tools against Blanka though: standing hp is a good antiair option that places the hitbox right where Blanka lands on crossups too, and an early jump hp beats air to air consistenly.

Seriously, Blanka is a nightmare for Abel. Hold up forward and mash buttons. Abel is so helpless to that

What happened to Street Fighter IV HD that was released for Android? I don't see it in their store... It only makes sense for them to release the Arena version for Android and not iOS if that's the case.

I really don't know what the developers think when porting fighting games related content to mobiles in this way.

Well, I think for BlazBlue is kinda understandable. There's just no way to port a BB game to iOS with proper controls, or at least I can't think of one. That game is too damn complex for touch controls.

But in general, I agree. The only reason behind making a spinoff of a fighting game as a card game (or any other thing) would be attracting new players to that franchise. The thing is that most of them are QUITE bad and most people don't give a crap about them. I mean, anyone remember the last Soul Calibur game for iOS? Or Tekken Arena? Yeah, me neither.

I just received a notification from Volt:
Create teams and compete using special events points in Team Ranking Battle!

I think it's the first time I've seen a Volt notification.

That's nothing farfetched because that already existed for Tekken Tag Tournament 1.

Yeah I know it was a minigame. I remember finding that before Volt came out.

Tekken would probably be too hard to port over to iOS, but 2D fighters should be fine

Soul Calibur worked quite well on iOS with full controls. As long as the ported game isn't a Tag Tournament one (they have another button to tag), I think it would be great. Wave dashing could be a bit of a pain though.

That is a strategy that does NOT work against Cyrax.

I'm not a fan of his abel, he plays super lame against me. However he plays rush down with the rest of the cast, which I love!

Does Abel need a lot of setup to pull off combos? Meaning; does he have options to get in quick or do pokes that can lead to combos?

Abel in volt and AE aren't about the combos. His most efficient combos are s.HP xx Change of Direction, EX FA 2/FADC, cr.HP xx whatever.

He is far more effective as just pure mixup.

    Tornado throw is ridiculously good.

Wheel Kick in Volt is stupidly safe.

f+k, into s.HP or TT is very effective

He plays very aggressive against my Blanka. I think he just adjusts to be more effective according to the opponent.

The typical combo starter he uses when aggressive is cr.mk. It is cr.mk into 1st rekka, FA2 hit, cr.hp into whatever. It looks like that with a bit of practice you can decide to either cancel the rekka or not whether the cr.mk connects (or even the first rekka since it has to be canceled very very late).

It is actually in this way that I discovered that the 1st rekka has enough hitstun for allowing a FA crumple, making the combos into ultra WAY easier.

The options to get in quick are the usual: roll, wheel kick and the kick that cancels into dash.
