Right after you do the flashkick (or shoryuken or whatever you're FADCing) press focus and then forwards or backwards, you dont need to double tap to dash out of focus in volt. This is a REALLY important thing in volt, lots of characters can combo into ultra from it (Ken, cammy, ryu, abel, sagat, cody, fei long) and it keeps you safe if you throw an unsafe move out and its blocked.

0:47 is a good example of that.

    Good games rshkhsee.

I was going for a chip damage to finish you off on the second match, but there was a little lag spike and I ended up missing the psycho crusher:(
The first round of the third match was how it was supposed to happen. Second round towards the end, I thought I had one bar for an EX move, but it was a sliver away from being complete... ended up doing a neutral jump and I was confused haha.

    Aww... I wanted post #4000...

Heh, I think I did that once too, tried throwing an EX Sonic Boom at you but ended up just standing there. I wish I would've saved a couple of replays cause all that shit was just a blur to me! How it should be...

do you use some other than in challenges combos for bison? i know you can cancel from crusher to ultra but it's a bit useless. it seems that there is also no use for fadc except for canceling punches and trying to do a throw maybe.

I completely forgot what the challenge combos were. Now that I'm looking at them, all of them are useful and I use them constantly, except for the jumping punches to Ultra (it doesn't come naturally since I tend to stick to a psycho crusher). The only change would be adding extra 1-2 c.lk before a knee press/psycho crusher, but other than that, I stick to the combos they provide since there's not much else that we can do. A good one that I like doing is with pokes using c.mp. If it's a counter hit, do another c.mp to a psycho crusher; so, it would be c.mp(counter) -> c.mp -> psycho crusher. That tends to do quite a bit of damage. 316 dmg from 3 hits, not bad...

As for FADC, very rarely will I use up 2 crucial bars just to cancel a knee press to dash forward and try to grab someone. Usually, people keep mashing the SP button, so it rarely works. And if they are blocking the whole time, the knee press is safe so there's no need to really worry about getting countered after that. Those bars are just invaluable to use it up on EX. And if it it's fully stocked, it's nice to dish out 3-4 c.lk -> knee press -> Super.

Those combos will rarely land if you play someone good, so you have to rely on other parts of the game such as zoning and poking to control the match and make it go your way.

i mean a counter hit. btw, vs hondas headbutt very well works bisons c.lk, dont know how it works online but in training room it is easy to do. ouch and it seems like simple punch beats his sumo splash, nice.

a counter hit is when you hit someone while they are doing a move, so any move can be a counter hit...

yes, i messed up with definition a bit. i just mean that for bison it is nice move in my opinion because of good speed, range and dmg done by that hit. you'd better comment of my findings on anti honda moves.

yea, lots of attacks from the whole cast beat headbutt, but the problem is doing it online. my most annoying matches right now are guile bison and honda, using abel that is.

Not really. It takes at least 4/5 Sonic Booms to hit to complete one stock of the Super Gauge, and 7/8 blocked/nullified with another projectile Booms to do the same. You may be right about the c.lp x3 but I'm not sure. I'm still trying to get used to the idea that the game actually punishes you for doing longer combos. :p

Yeah I was home. My only connection here is a 1-2 bar 3G. Definitely not good for playing. :p I'll hit you up tonight after work though, I'll have time for a couple matches before rehearsal tonight. :)

I don't play Yun so I'm not sure of his specifics, but all they'd have to so is make GJ run out quicker. Some of the scaling is utterly ridiculous. If I use a c.hp into Super with Guile and they have more than 20% life, I get left hanging because it gets raped by the scaling. :-/

Tourney update: So we're going to a slightly different results table which will make matchmaking easier on me and allow everyone to see "into the future" of who you'll be playing!

As a result we're doing a few "makeup matches" to catch things up and even give people whose matches may not have happened in the first two weeks another chance to play them. Check the 1st post of the tourney thread for the details and matchups! :)

Thanks a lot guys. After doing pretty decent with him for a few days, I came back to earth pretty hard yesterday. Absolutely everyone I played just turtled and I couldn't come up with a decent strategy to get around it (especially the charge or SRK characters). These tips will definitely help though (I hope). I may also have to check out a few videos of decent Fei players for some inspiration.
