Unfortunately I don't think there are many (any?) Japanese combo vid makers out there.

Didn't know Rolento's Patriot Circle was FADCable. I wonder how busted Fei would be if he could FADC his rekkas. In Volt, it would probably be a fair buff for him, but probably a bit too good in AE. Maybe if EX Rekka's were FADCable...

Hey folks, I've been playing AE2012, so I haven't been here to tl;dr everyone ;)

@harq: u, ub and uf - heh, it's funny, right around the time you posted that we were separately working on that on different systems but the same game. Maining Ryu on AE2012 (because Yun was heavily frustrating me), and it turns out that you can use up and up back to link ultra after a midscreen EX hadoken. And it turns out that there's a very special button you need to plink it. A useful way to do it:

Deep jump in > cr.mk (close) xx ex hadoken > ultra. The commands are (I'm going to use the number notation here for the least trouble)
Jump in > 2+mk (low forward) xx 36+lp+mp (ex hado) > 2362367 (or 2362368) + PPP + PPPtaunt. Will PM video if you don't believe me (don't want to post because the iPod mauled my voice and it's addressed to someone lol).

    ...

Chun cr.mp is pretty good in the mirror because it has better range than st.mp actually. On a whole, not being able to link it is a bit sad (I'm fairly certain it's +0) but the pushback makes a lot of space.

@Varo: Ehh, Super changes very very matchups for lots of characters. Having a 2f punish instead of a a 3f punish alone is worth its weight in gold for lots of chars. IE if you're playing a matchup like Cammy vs. Akuma, teleport can be made safe at certain ranges despite u1, but super is guaranteed to chase you down.

Cody: Volt cody really really got the short end of the stick. cr.strong is supposed to link into cr.jab without a counterhit, his AA ruffian kick should be able to link into crack kick pretty much at all ranges. EX stone has a really long startup though iirc.

    Also, I can't link cr.jab after his cl.hp I think it's +0 on hit :(

@Harq: Rolento seems to be suffering from dmg output problems :(

I have to turn off SP assist to play honda T_T Also, I think that's cr.fierce actually o_O
Yun Palm/fake: Fake palm during meaty timing actually lets you block reversal dps.

Of course, all moves have some type of utility. Therefore I don't think there is a move that can be labeled as "useless", but limited on utility.

Fei's St.MK can be used as anti air (providing the foe is not right above you) or as a poke. It's better used as the former, although it loses to a lot of stuff.

Chun's Cr.MP is good as a poke, but I feel St.MP comes faster and allows you to cancel into Hazanshu.

Yun's CR.MP is good to break focus attacks, and allows you to perform one of the largest combos in the game.

I can continue but I think the point is already made.

That being said, I think both Vega's super and Dhalsim's Yoga Blast are the most limited moves in the game, utility wise. It's easy to escape from the former while not on combo and the latter gets outclassed by either that knee attack or a simple Teleport.

Naaa cr.mp does not have better range thans st.mp. Cr.mp has only 2 uses, lowering the hitbox of crouching chun-li to blow up some setups and for the Balrog matchup, it kills most of his dash punches and turn punch.

    Range: st.hk > back+kick > st.mp > cr.mp > cr.hp > cr.lk

Dhalsims yoga blast combos are his best for damage. Vega combos super in corner and if the opponent is stunned but thats about the only use for it. Youre better off using the meter in combos.

Yun cr.mp is also a godlike AA vs. divekicks and you can actually hit j.hp > cr.mp > cr.mp > tc1 xx special for ridiculous bnb dmg. Tenonez-like. D:

Strictly best starter for Yun is Fa 3/j.HP, cr.MP, s.LP, cl.MK, shoulder, whatever

I can't link cl.mk after st.jab online. It's just a surefire way to get my salt levels to rise.

I've only seen TenOnez doing cl.LP, cl.MK combos.

I know guys I've already been saying this, but it keeps bothering me.

Blanka: FA crumpling, dash forward, ultra.

I can do it 100% of the times from right to left and 1% of the times left to right. I tried to delay the input, to be quicker, etc. Same for other ultras, but I didn't do much testing. Any advice?

Just after releasing the button press right and inmediately change to left. If you get a backdash try again with different timing.

It's literally tap towards just after the fa connects and then to back to charge.

Blanka ultra is one of those weird moves where it won't hit an airborne opponent in a free juggle state
