iPad STREET FIGHTER IV Volt - [Capcom]

Same game + 3 new characters and online multiplayer . And supposedly a bonus for those who own both, a mystery character perhaps ?

 

Hmm...

Will this replace SFIV or be in addition to it? I know its a separate app, but if Volt has all of the characters of the original release (plus three additional) and the same modes as the original (plus additional), then would this be able to *replace* SFIV on my iDevice?

I would gladly pay $.99 for the three additional characters.

CAPCOM mentioned a while back over Twitter that owners of the original iOS SFIV would have some sort of special feature unlocked in Volt.

Have to say, I'm pretty surprised at the price too. And very very very happy to hear about online multiplayer.

I do not own ANY fighting games on my iphone, though this *seems* to be a pretty good game to get. I've never liked fighting games that place emphasis on combos and remembering moves to succeed, so I pretty much passed up on all fighting games on iphone.
At the current price point though, I'm happy to toss in a buck to see if this can change my opinion. Can anyone help me reach that decision? (convince me to buy it... I cannot do it alone...)

It has a SP mode which is basically a friendly button mode for newbies, you don't need to remember all the combos for moves just get it

That's in the game description. They're launching cheap and turning up the price each day, so get it early. Should be available in the USA tonight, around 11pm EST.

 

I will definitely be getting this, just for the online multiplayer which I guess took a lot of forum members by surprise since we've been hearing for so long how it wouldn't be possible to implement due to lag. We will see how it fares.

Honestly I don't care about Retina Display one bit for Street Fighter, but I really do wish the backgrounds didn't still look like cardboard cutouts.

 

I wonder if the secret between core Street Fighter IV's recent mysterious update will finally be revealed.

 

OMG, didn't expect this so soon! Will be staying up till after midnight tonight to get it. I had hit a lull with SFIV, but this will rekindle my interest, i'm sure. Looking forward to busting a few combos as Cody.

I too am extremely interested in finding out what the mystery bonus is for owning both SFIV and Volt...
