I don't know how I feel about that. That 1 damage change makes the game count the throw as another hit, so for example Yun's command grab, cr.MP xx Dragon Kicks will do less damage than the same combo without the command grab since the damage scaling will go from 0-100-100 to 100-100-80.
Love the changes (or lack thereof) to Sakura. Dropping ex +4 to +2 is no big deal, st lk is now just a frame trap and not a block string. Keeping her lk tatsu at neutral on block is essential and losing that would have killed her. Getting ex tatsu on crouching opponents is great too.
Not feeling those Makoto nerfs though. Making axe kick unsafe on block to DPs is ugh. Adding recovery to whiff karakusa is ugh. Her play style is going to change the most out of the whole cast, I think.
Fei Long: "Crouching light kick now has 4 frame startup instead of 3 frames. Can no longer be canceled into itself." OUCH.
And Bison players getting mad at Capcom because of Double Knee Press being -1. That will break Fei. Ken is getting lots of buffs though. I'd like to see Gouken getting more instead, but oh well.
not a big fan of the DP FADC nerf that has been applied across the board it already costs 2 bars to do, it's not like there wasn't a cost associated with it now the whole cast can punish it with a max damage bnb, so it's no longer a viable option
his cr mp buff is really great, as well as his st lk buff - it gives him a ton more options for up close to get ppl off of him with normals into fireball his EX tatsu buff is nice too, makes it a good AA option now also like that they didnt touch his stun output, for the most part
the fei nerfs are an overreaction IMO - mago & fuudo were dominant with them, but that was a couple years ago ppl adapted and you dont see feis in the top 8 at majors very much any more he is pretty well balanced, didn't need the nerf bat he's also a very fundamentals based character that doesn't rely on gimmicks - tweaking his normals and specials like that will hurt him more than gimmick and setup based characters
To be fair, DP, FADC being negative applies to forward dashes. Backdash should be still fairly safe, except against the fastest supers. Delayed wakeup sounds like all knockdowns are techable. (It doesn't say it's up to 11 frames) I didn't think it was possible but Rog's U2 is even worse now DeeJay actually has some nice buffs Guile likewise has some good buffs. He will be very good if unblockables are removed too Makoto's axe kick being -3 on block is fine Bison having damage buffs and Volt EX Knee Press is pretty sweet Sagat's ultras do like no damage. 300~ damage each?
Seriously this. At some point when you're trying to balance the game, you need to step back and realize that he's a 7'5", 330 lb behemoth. His ultras need to do DAMAGE. Fun fact! Sagat and I share a birthday. <3
DROOQA is sagat, confirmed. Well there's that element of suspension of disbelief. Like Sakura's ultras do about 300~. But I guess Adam can't complain when damages for ultras are being reduced across the board AND the with the reduction with Ultra Combo W
