In just half an hour the EH post about Decapre exploded. Over 100 comments and counting lol Did anyone see Ryan (OP Sagat, OP Yun via Edition Select) vs Combofiend (Decapre)? Ryan lost.
How? It has a bigger hitbox at the cost of speed and travelled distance. I rather see her out of the game. Why not another original character like Juri or Viper?
Its doesnt matter, very few can punish it in comparidon to sim, and its out there for a longer period. Plus its 9 hits. Second question obviously they had said before she belonged to the SF universe and was in the comics.
Any character? Blanka can do ultra to super in the corner for 650-700 damage. Never mind I just realized for rog it was 750+ in damage (I was thinking stun) Has anyone beaten my 7 second kill? I've tried replicating it in dummy vs me and the best I could do was 8 seconds.
The challenge was highest damage meterless, no CH combo. I'm pretty sure I've done plenty of KOs in the 7s range
Put up or shut up I've only seen kanevtc beat someone in 7 seconds. Oh and the question was; has anyone gotten a KO in less than 7 seconds
How do you know that very few can punish it? Is that in the last video posted in EH where combofiend comments about her? I didn't watch it yet. And well, they could just not say that, and even then there are better options in the UDON comics than a Cammy clone with an awkward mask and a claw. I have Alpha 3 MAX for the PSP but never played them. I only saw some combo videos. Oh, and cool combo the Rog one. I didn't even think about Sakura doing more damage than Akuma
Assuming the person who played me was from Touch Arcade, I'm sorry, my ipod died. Damn, Tenonez that's rough. Decapre's one hell of a horrible character. Meanwhile, I'm picking up Yun for ultra and dropping rufus. edit: Ryan did drop his AE Yun combos but it's clear that Decapre's dmg potential is equal to AE Yun's. I don't know about all of you, but what I was watching most carefully as the meter build (better than average) and dmg vs. health lost to throwing out pokes (immense) and obviously the 2-3 hitconfirm-to-preserve-charge doing as much damage as some strong strong strong xx special from cammy. edit: <7s kills. It's uhhh... if you drop a long combo with Sakura and you get a counterhit frametrap by accident, they're stunned in 4 seconds and they're dead by the 6th Kappa edit2: varoFN: wtf no, her yoga catatrosphe allows for a whole bunch of really really strange-as-hell setups that sim could never get. Can you imagine? I'm sitting here trying to find a Ganoon-esque (the guy Daigo played at White Tower Q8) setup in which you can whiff a meaty l3 fireball, tatsu and push them back into the fireball and they come out with something like this?! I've waited for so long for something THIS anime to play with xD All I can say is that Decapre would fit into the metagame perfectly.... if she was in blazblue her teleport -> divekick and u1 hard counter Kokonoe :3
@JonathanLUNG I just watched the last Decapre video where combofiend comments about her and yes, her Ultra seems better than Dhalsim's (Dudley couldn't properly punish Decapre and got hit by the attack), but it still doesn't seem that good. Right now it's only good because her teleport things are quite broken (her Oni-like special move is FAST) and would allow her to do some very nasty crossups. Once they balance the character (IMO she appears to be quite OP, even as a charge character), I'm sure people will use DCM instead. Anyway, I don't really care about Decapre. It's just nuts how they hyped the 5th character so much and it's just another Cammy. They could at least change her normals, throws, etc. so it isn't just a Cammy with new specials, but no, using SFxT assets wasn't lazy enough. Her trailer is already getting more and more negative votes and the EH post is still going (will reach 800 comments soon). If it wasn't because of Rolento I wouldn't care about this Ultra update at all.
I'm liking the new character. Seems broken, but she's gonna be balanced. It's a new charge character (unusually rushdown) to play with and that's it. Maximilian had hopes for the grappler doll, but we all know cammy is already a grappler. If U1 is really 3 frames and stays as is, it's going to be insane. If she makes it to a new volt, we would be pretty much locked to the ground and fearful of even throwing normals when she has ultra.
Just not too interested in Ultra; it's okay, but I just haven't really too much cared for it. All I've seen are ports for updates. They really just brought in a sample of SFxT into the game and Evil Cammy. More of a disinterest in the update, than anything, but I could bite and still jump in sometime.
On another note, did any of you ever had any problem with some wrist tendons caused by playing? Keyboard+mouse+iphone fucxed up my arm and the doctor says I have to do possibly nothing (!!!) with my right hand for a looong time (and I bought dark souls the other day too).
Im always treating my hands so that doesnt happen, like stretching them, massaging them and if they ever hurt while playing then i stop. Usually keyboard + mouse in a bad desk or position can f%*%^% you up the most.
