Just managed to perform st.HP, CADC, st.HP, CADC, cr.HP xx Shoryuken after a launcher in SFxT. There isn't a single thing in either games that I like more than doing CADC combos online.
Challenge: Complete 50 matches with each char (ranked or friendlies) and post you results. Why i post this challenge: Just curious about tiers and what different playstyles of the people here at TA might end up resulting in. I started with a clean Card. These results do not include rage quits (advice dont rematch rage quitters). With rage quits these results might look a bit better. I know no one might care about this but 50 matches on ranked with each char and here are the results. This challenge helped me realize what are my top 5 characters. Seems im better with the charge characters than i thought except m.bison and deejay. My expectations about the shotos were true being at the bottom of my list with the exception of ryu. 80%+ Best: 43-7 C.Viper 40-10 Chun-li 70-79% Good: 37-13 Balrog 35-15 Vega 60-69% Above Average: 34-16 Guile 34-16 Blanka 33-17 E.Honda 31-19 Ryu 30-20 Dhalsim 30-20 Fei Long 30-20 Cammy 50-59% Average: 29-21 M.Bison 29-21 Makoto 28-22 Yun 28-22 Zangief 26-24 Abel 25-25 Sagat 40-49% Below Average: 24-26 Akuma 23-27 Ken 22-28 Sakura 20-30 Cody 30-39% Bad: 15-35 Dee Jay Definetly need to practice with sagat, akuma, ken, sakura, dee jay and cody. Dee jay was just terrible. Any 90%+ would be excellent and below 30% would be "Dont play that char ever!!!!" Lmao
yo 25-25 w/ sagat is just inexcusable, you better than that capt 37-13 w/ rog is real impressive tho not even joking, i think i would be lucky to go 5-45 w/ yun
I dont know if its me that is bad with timing sagat fireballs and anti-airs or that everyone already knows the matchup.
I've had this for a while, but I've never really played it seriously. Maybe I'll jump online tonight and see who is on for some matches. Also, if I like this, will I like the SFxT iPhone game?
You can definetly ask VaroFN. He knows how sfxt is doing now online. I dont play it as often as Volt but its definetly fun. It just needs an update with more characters for me to go play it again. Combos are easier in SFxT than on volt too and they are definetly fun to watch.
On another note: Fright Fight update They randomized where the items appear during a match and the frequency that they appear is way better now. Also when you die you appear at a random place in the stage. They added Training Mode and its funny as hell. If you enter as vampire, they have a jumping wolf, a walking yeti and a standing grim reaper just spamming charge moves.
Both games are quite different. Overall Volt is a better game though. It has more characters and stages, there aren't stupid things like gems (stats boosts that are given when tagging) or credits/tokens (you have 3 as max and everytime you lose a ranked match you lose one, and once you lose all three you have to wait to be able to play ranked again, although you can still play friendlies, just without earning exp that's needed to level up to unlock more things) and Battle Network is quite cool (just wished it was implemented in the game rather than a web page; notifications and such would make it more useful than how it is now). Also competition is kinda better. SFxT is filled with people abusing attack gems and turtlers, even more than in Volt. The game also has some other problems like the partner being completely useless (it's a 2 vs 2 tag team fighting game, kinda like Tekken Tag Tournament), Pandora being OP, the game being all about mashing (unlike in the console game, there isn't any differences between single normals and boost combos in terms of frame advantage), Cross Counter being extremely OP, and balance, while I find it better than Volt's, is still quite bad, with some matchups like Guile vs Paul being completely BS. It also has many lag problems. As long as you play with people from your same region, you'll be fine, but if you try to play with people from other regions you'll face the same lag problems of Volt, in some cases even worse. But still, it's a fun game, and I can tell you that I enjoyed it way more than Volt (but less than KoF). Combos are quite fun and less "restrictive" than Volt's since anything can juggle so you can do whatever you want with the opponent once he's knockeddown. Also it's much more about rushdown than Volt, with SRKs and all that being quite risky since there's no way to cancel them into anything to make them safer, even Hadoukens are risky if you play against Hwo/Kaz, but that's only in a lagless match. Once you get in a match with lag you'll understand why there are so many turtlers, but other than that I'm sure you would have fun. You can take a look at my SFxT CMV that I have in my signature to get an idea about how the game plays.
Some of you may ask, how do i keep track of each char? Simple math First 5 characters is easy cause its already in your Card. Then just Play 50 matches straight with each char in order Once you finish with one char go to the next one and then just add up the wins and losses to calculate.
Do you have your results on your sheet or can you post them Of cousre more than 50 matches each char would be more accurate results.
I didn't actually record the results, but I have an idea of how I went. For my worst characters I went about 50% W/L. Those were Makoto, Honda and Sim. Fei, sakura, was about 55-60%. I concluded that the OP characters were ones that I didn't play but I got good results with. Those were Gief, Sagat and Blanka. Rog actually performed quite well too
