Super smash bros melee, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Soul Caliber.
There are tiers, but they hardly matter.
    Thats a good fighting game.

And I WOULD get KoF-i if there was online multiplayer.

Why do you enjoy the frusteration of everyone picking Akuma and spamming air hadokens so much anyway? Do you find pleasure in that? Are you trying to defend it simply because it is possible to do so?

As a melee tournament player, the tiers hardly mattering is a huge understatement, sure you can beat the scrubs who use the c-stick and dont know any advanced techniques with characters like pichu and bowser...but you'll almost never see a bowser, a pichu or a kirby played in anything other than just a match on the couch with your friend, even in heaven, where smash bros melee is online somehow with no lag, you would have to search long and far to find a garbage tier character.

There are frustrating ways for everyone to play, on any fighter, and those frustrating ways of playing, unfortunately, only become frustrating because the strategy works well against most players and most people will just use what works instead of trying to work up to a higher level of play, you just have to learn to overcome the scrubs, and rise to a level where you laugh at those kilik spammers on soul calibur, and those fireball spamming akumas on street fighter, even on the "good fighters" there's always frustrating ways for people to play

    Every fighter?
    Huge exaggeration.

A skilled zangief will always beat an equally skilled Fei Long.
A Bowser in ssbm can still beat a Marth.

Hey SOULBLADE, wasn't expecting a good Guile fight with you! Pretty good match ups tonite. Nice Kung Fu fighting too man, I tried using Fei for a little bit but it's kind of hard to control quick fighters for me...I need one in tow though, can't decide between Him and Yun.

Well Fei is Capcom's take on Bruce Lee. Thats what made me choose him.
He is also higher tier than Yun. But he was pretty hard to control at first.

With Guile, I just copied some of your techniques and mixed them with how I play Ryu.

Actually I'm still quite a bit better with Sagat.

Yeah what's a fighting game without a Bruce Lee clone? I'd like to try using Yun because of all the combo possibilities but he IS pretty lightweight compared to Fei. Plus Feis Ultra is cool as hell. Try using Guile more often!

I could show you some of Fei's combos.

I might but I don't really like charge characters as much. It seems so much harder to punish moves with them.

I was actually glad I played a player that would move/jump backwards, even as a friendly. It's a very unorthodox tactic, and I was badly punished once I tried to chase the opponent around.

I find it a personal challenge to try and outplay an opponent like that. I'm actually looking forward to playing that bastard player again. :D I'm perverse like that.

At the people saying abel is so cheap with his roll, lol. He is so vunerable after it and he can be thrown. Abel is not cheap at all. But i can definitley see what everyone means. Nobody likes playing a turtle honda, but we cant just tell wediafom not to. But its not gonna get you any friends....

I can say that I HATE losing to Honda spam/lameness, but it's a
    perfectly legit way to play.

totally agree, Abel has his own style but he is not cheap at all, and that roll can be punished in many ways too. btw, more fei matchups and more bisons wins.

yep it is of course legit, but it also legit to call them lame or spammers. ;)

Practicing like mad on my Blanka but dear lord, nothing combos into his ultra and it's just horrible.

Because people can stand still and let autoblock defeat the strategy. Unfortunately, Blanka has a 40 minute recoil animation on block, so you can punish a blocked Blanka ball with fireballs, standing kicks, ultras, etc.

What's funny is that Honda can hold back, block a blanka ball and headbutt punish, but blanka can't block a headbutt and blanka ball punish. WTB Honda's low recovery. : (

Spamming Blanka ball as blanka won't get you any BP. It will simply get you some chip damage against them and a ton of losses (you also take 100% more damage during blanka ball...thanks, Capcom. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p-2dmOw7fw)

After turning SP ASSIST on I have been having more fun online, even winning (yes, I'm not that good to begin with) . I still wish there was a "pro" mode where you couldn't use it or auto block. Without SP ASSIST there would be WAY less spammers online.

I'm having a hard time with ppl who use Sagat and shoot fireballs every second. When you get close they uppercut. Oh well...

actually auto block is not so good as it seems, because then it's hard to punish some moves, for example it's very easy to trade off with cammys spiral arrow just with crouching punch, but with auto block on it's too tricky. about sagat and all other shotos just choose bison and spam head stomps if they spam fbs. or there are some other moves which have invisibility for some type of shoots. and you can also build your super meter vs such spammers just by using focus attack and dash when they make it.

What other fighters would you like to see in the next update? I vote for Guy and T.Hawk!
