Yun's EX Palm has enough juggle points to combo into itself at least 3 times, however there are obvious meter constraints. Combo Challenge: with infinite meter, find a setup to combo 3 EX Palm (no stun). Additional challenge: substitute any of the first 2 EX Palms with normal Palm. (I personally haven't done this yet, but am just trying to crowdsource ideas)
With these black bars, You can't set the buttons in the black bars, but with the joystick if you put it close to the bars and your input starts off the black bars it will resister if your finger slides into the bars. It's so stupid they could not take the extra time and do it right. What's weird is even in the title screen if you touch the bars it doesnot register and if your input starts on the bars it doesnot register. I mean it's a little helpful for the controller side of the screen but pointless on the other side. It seems that I can perform combos easier now on my iphone 5 so I'm gonna give volt another chance. It's been off my device since I got my iphone 5. I've emailed apple about this because the app description is very misleading and I know apple's new rules for the App Store state all games that are updated must have 4 inch support. Hopefully if enough people email apple they will do something about it.
So Viper's jump canceling thing is weird, specifically jc'ing her seismos. I'm so used to Guilty Gear jc'ing where the character actually Jumps. xD Fun stuff though. I've actually won some matches with her and have had a lot of really close ones with higher BP players.
You guys are fortunate to play online, I can't even play a good match with stutter. Haven't tried the new update, but I'll think same thing will happen. I have good connection too, so not sure why.
Just hold up after seismo is an sjc and if its a normal you have to do down + up really fast or buffer it if its a crouching move.
You were able to move the buttons into the black bars??? So if I'm correct you can put the buttons where you cant see them and they will still work?? I've tried and the best I could do is move the buttons right to the edge of where the black bars go but not in them.
Yes. You have to move the punch, kick and SP to the middle on the screen and work on the focus button alone to the edges of the screen. Then you move the rest.
#40,000 Booooooyaaaaaaaaaa I think its time to celebrate a record breaking on Touch Arcade. SFiv style?!?!? Random TA tourney? Party on chatzy? Special community meeting?
I give up. I tried everything. It lets me move into the black bars but then resets the button outside of them. If anybody can tell me wtf I'm doing wrong it would be awesome. I'm on a iphone 5
Guys i really got tired, because of Capcom,WHERE'S NEW UPDATE for fixing iPhone 5 wilescreen or x Tekken God what took it so long damnnnn their iOS site is dead their Twitter page is dead https://twitter.com/iCAPCOM/
Just confirmed (to myself) today something that I long suspected in Volt: that landing frames can be cancelled into specials/supers/ultras. Hence the craziness of Abel's 0 landing frames into Tornado Throw.... I am in the process of making a quick video to explain it and show some interesting tech based on this Edit: "The first 4 clips show being unable to jump away from Akuma's Ultra after a safe jump, whether it be an empty jump or not. The next 2 clips show that after a safe jump, an empty jump in cannot be special cancelled whereas a non-empty jump can be. The last 2 clips show that landing frames can be cancelled into an ultra regardless. Conclusion Landing frames can be cancelled into an ultra but not into a jump. Landing frames from an empty jump in cannot be cancelled into a special or super move. Landing frames from a non-empty jump in can be cancelled into specials or supers. (This will work with charge moves) Alternate theory: collision of exterior hitboxes from the whiffed attack increase distance between characters enough so that a special move can be performed. (However, many of the setups can be and are performed in the corner to minimise distance between characters)"
Other theory: something to do with the ultra flash. You can do the same trick vs makoto. This means her only response to a safe jump can be beaten clean. Whoops
The exact same; BUT, bonus for people with 4 inch screen devices! You get black bars on the side of your screen to emulate what it looked like before you updated Volt and tried to play it on a 4 inch screen! Yay!
I guess people don't really care about my new tech. Pretty much I have come to the conclusion that landing frames from a non empty safe jump can be cancelled into a special/super/ultra due to the super/ultra flash. Moves that beat out non empty safe jumps that can be beaten by this landing frame cancel: Abel Super Akuma Ultra Blanka Ultra Cammy Super Chun-Li Ultra C.Viper Super & Ultra Fei Long Super Guile Ultra Makoto Ultra Sakura Super Vega Ultra Moves that beat out non empty safe jumps that can't be beaten by this landing frame cancel: Akuma Super Blanka Super Chun-Li Super Dhalsim Super Guile Super Ken Super Ryu Super Sagat Super It seems to me that the second list are the fastest supers in volt, which are 1 frame.
It makes sense that you cant cancel a jump with another jump. Otherwise you'd have characters being able to basically double jump. Jumps have cool down frames just like they have startup frames so it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to cancel those frames with another jump. When you say that you can cancel a non-empty jump into a special or super, are you talking about just whiffing a move in the air or are you talking about on hit? If its on whiff I wonder if you can cancel with throws too. One of my big things with Guile was to jump then hit K on the way up and once I landed I could beat damn near anything with a throw. I wonder if canceling the landing frames was how that worked...? Cuz I don't remember being able to do it with an empty jump. It's interesting to me that you can cancel the landing frames with an Ultra of all things. So when you have a character combing into Ultra from a deep flying attack (for instance Guile's j.PxxUltra) this must be why that combo works. Either way, good find Harle! Im probably wrong but I feel like they nerfed damage again. There are a lot of moves (Ultras in particular) that feel like they scale harder than they used to somehow. Like I said, I'm probably wrong but I've been watching a lot of replays lately and stuff that used to kill doesn't seem to as readily anymore.
