I was like wtf! That's the second time I lost to your chun li, I'll have to play lame next time. Your sagat was impressive, a tad lame, but tricky none the less. After that I was just too tired to play smart and I was just trying to finish the cast. Wth! No bison! The one character I wanted to play It's 1:45am, I'm out! But a good way to end the night. Shit! You trying playing against guile with auto block off! Besides, I was physically drained by then there was no way I was going to beat your guile in my mental state, hell! You even beat me with blanka, lol!
I did like 3 fireballs with Sagat! I seriously tried to be as aggressive as possible with my characters and if you still think it's lame then I don't know what think. In my first round with guile, I did 0 sonic booms. In the second round I did about 3. Also, I don't know how serious you are when you say ' I'll have to play lame next time' re: Chun Li. She's at a severe disadvantage when she's blocking and at negative frames and she has probably the best high/low mixups in the game without jumping.
Harley for the love of god! Lame =/= spam, lame =/= an insult! Its a play style. The fact that you used very few projectiles lends itself to you playing more defensive and I quantified that by saying you barely played that way. All it means is that if you are playing more defensive then I can't be as offensive. It wasn't a jab at you, I even said your sagat was was impressive and I said nothing about your guile other than I had no chance of beating him. The same goes for chun li. I played too aggressive and I juat kept getting caught in her kill zone. By me stating I will have to play more lame means I will have to play more defensive and wait for you to come to me as opposed to the opposite. I don't understand how you can be so versed in street fighter and all it's lingo and still not understand the term "lame". It's baffling really! Not a single thing in this post or the one you responded to was meant to be an insult, period! I've got nothing but respect for you
If I were a really great Sagat player, I would attempt to early AA people with his High Tiger Shot. :O It looks so cool. Then maybe use ultra after fadc, if you have bars. Style Points overflowing.
to me, lame means runaway and projectile spam. As in, "damn those lame east coast morridooms." I have no problem with people standing there trying to block and counter, but running away is the lame bit to me
Yeah I know, but as I've pointed out to you before, your definition is wrong. My definition comes from the sf community of professional fighters. It's not a definition I made up myself.
Did a bit of reading and your definition of lame is used quite a bit. But it doesn't help that blanka is one of the turtliest characters. Many blankas ive played against just rely on running away Who is playing lame? Also came across this quote:
I agree that most blankas turtle and in AE he is one of the most hated characters precisely because of his super lame play. What that has to do with me I don't know. I'll watch the vid and respond in a minute. Lol! Both players played super lame but blanka was actually more aggressive. I play AE very rarely and I'm not that good but I don't even play 1/10th that lame. In fact, watching that match makes me think I could have beat that ken, I saw lots of opportunity for that blanka that he missed.
I think the Blanka played pretty lame. The Ken had to chase him and the Blanka just used EX Rolls to escape. Don't forget this replay is pre AE so Blanka's Rolling Attack is nigh unpunishable
That thread was a good read! Interesting to look back at what people were saying about the game back when it first came out.
Friends I am gonna be away for a long while, the military has called and I'm joining the army tomorrow for my national service. I probably won't even see your replies since it is bedtime here and I will be leaving early morning tomorrow.
