There's a lot of stuff that works in this game that wouldn't work in AE simply because the SP Assist controls allow for it. In some ways it makes the game more interesting, but in other ways it just makes it cheap and shitty (one-touch Ultras, I'm looking at you.)

I concur with your #15. I hate Honda. Scrub character if ever i saw one. You can mess up all day long, but hit two average combos and you've almost won the round. Honda and Cammy piss me off. xD

Honda is just obnoxious with that j.P. I think overall Blanka is really annoying. He does crazy good damage and he trades a bunch, but comes out ahead

Hmm, I think most ultras should have a damage reduction. Like by 100-200

Cause really, I don't think Capcom was looking to support turtle play with 0frame, 600+ damage ultras.

Agreed. It is good for ultra to be reduced. They shouldn't take 1/4 or more of full health,

Yo, what up everybody! How are my favorite time wasters doing? I see there's a few new people here, welcome JonathanLUNG et. all.

I am not here to tell you I'm coming back to volt, because I'm not, but I did have an idea for the tourneys I wanted to run by everyone. I figured out a while ago that there's no way for me to only play A LITTLE BIT of volt. Every time I play it, it sucks up my entire life. So I quit it every couple of months, but the urge still remains. I didn't see any sort of middle ground, playing was all or nothing for me.

But there is one thing that I've really been wanting to try lately, and that's commentary. Commentary seems like the perfect way to get that volt fill I'm looking without needing to play it again, plus I get to talk, and as you all know, I enjoy doing that a whole lot. So what do you guys think? I could be commentator for the Revolt tournaments, and add that extra special hype to em we all want. Cap, Squall, and Mooken, if you guys are interested in figuring out a way we could do that, let me know. I could take streaming duties, or add a voiceover to Cap's YouTube vids, whatever works best. I'd love to try it out, tell me if you're down.

I noticed you've been very busy with your comics being delayed and whatnot.

How do you plan to do commentary? Reupload replays with your voice over the top? Or stream? Your voice better be damn smooth and you better know your stuff!

As for Volt itself, you can still be a part of the community and not play. It goes through phases for me. Sometimes I play heaps whereas sometimes I get pretty bored of it. For me I find it easy to pick things where I left off

Runaway Chun Li (not the usual Chun that does the spacing game).

Not sure if you're aware by now, but the "reset" Ches was talking about is another version of yours:

FA -> Back dash -> cr.mk -> Crossover EX Tiger Knee.

This is the catch: cr.mk doesn't cancel into EX knee, and the foe must be crouching in order to cross over (tried with Cammy).

    1. FA lvl 1 -> throw on people waking up, just to mess with them.

    2. EX dive kick -> Instant EX dive kick have saved me some times.

Good games earlier, it's been a while since the last time we played!

I was being too greedy in the beginning and I missed a lot of inputs (that first ultra crosses me over while I was trying to make my own).

They were good games but I think we suffer from the same problem me and apprunner have, whoever plays lamer wins. Thats not to say we played lame, it's just that who ever was less aggressive would win. At least that's how I felt. The match where you kicked my ass I was playing aggressive and trying to do a lot of baiting.

And yes I was very surprised my ultra landed!

    TouchArcade.com's Weekly Tournament

    Weekly Revolt Tournament

    @Mooken
Welcome to the Weekly Revolt, a weekly tournament for the Street Fighter IV: Volt on the iOS platform.

We are a community of enthusiastic SF4:Volt players, who believe that a weekly 2~3 hour tournament format could be very successful. While we love global, multi-timezone SF4:Volt tournaments, the logistics and pace have taken their toll on organizers and players.

A simple 2~3 hour tournament, once week, on Thursday night:
    - 9pm-11pm EST / 6pm-8pm PST (to be confirmed)
    - tourney only open to those who are logged in to the tourney chatroom at the tourney start time
    - tourney chatroom will be used to coordinate matched & communicate issues
    - players will have 5 minutes to initiate their matches; failure to do so will result in a DQ
    - matches are 2 out of 3 rounds, sets are best 3 out of 5 matches, single elimination tournament
    - within a set, winner of each match must keep their character, losers may switch character selection
    - a lag-check match will take place for each set; set handicap at < 4 stars to indicate the lag check
    - if the lag-check fails, please disconnect — otherwise the next match is official
    - after 2 failed lag-checks, reconnect a 3rd time, and play the match with lag
    - weekly bracket will be posted on challonge.com
    - if your GameCenter ID/name cannot be typed with the standard iOS english keyboard, you will not play

Weekly Revolt will be on Thursdays, at 9pm EST / 6pm PST. Please come to Chatzy Room 1 (if it’s full, then Chatzy Room 2) at the time above. We’ll set up challonge and get things underway by 9:15pm EST / 6:15pm PST. This should take no more than 2 hours.

    @CaptYadierPR
Here are the tournaments that have already been concluded with the replays and some of the even have live streams with commentary. We have had around 34 players that have participated so far and concluded 15 tournaments. Heres also a list of the progress of the tournament and the streaming channel that sometimes streams replay matches right after the tournament.

I use now Elgato Game Capture HD hardware/software. (all in one system)

Before that we were using Reflector (to mirror iphone screen on the PC/Mac).
And a streaming software to stream on twitch.tv, either
    -xSplit
-adobe flash live media encoder (or something like that)
-psxsquall uses Open Broadcaster Software (OBS)

If Reflector works well for Twitch streams I could easily use that.

We had some problems with reflector being a bit laggy.

Maybe you can be a bit creative and do something like upload your favourite set from the week and do commentary over the top
