So you're saying rage quitting is the same as win quitting? Really? He plainly stated that he does it to lower his BP intentionally. Think about it from the view point of the other person... Would they get mad if they were about to lose and the guy just quit. Probably not. You on the other hand do it cause you don't like how they play and RQ when they win. Lol. No, quitting is quitting. How many hate messages do I get? Ive received maybe 7 from different people for the entire 2 and a half years Ive been playing volt. Btw, I RQ on lame play regardless of whether or not I win (unless it's a noob and then I'll use my secondaries). I have gotten maybe 3 hate messages from win quitting. Both are rude and disrespectful but you justify win quitting because you are ok with it.

7 hate messages only! Really! I never RQ. Never ever. But, 20% of my matches end up in RQ but I never complain. I have received at least 75 nasty messages in my 2.5 years playing Win quitting is not rude. Its a courtesy. I win quit because there was lag and I didn't want the win. Its tainted. Same as if I leave after winning only 1 and I feel i've done them wrong...i feel i don't deserve a win. RQ is just cowardice.

The only people who think win quitting is courtesy or not rude are those that do it. The only thing more disrespectful than that are people that troll with zero BP accounts. But I'm sure you disagree with that as well. And btw, you have RQed, you did it to me, so to say you have never ever RQed is a lie.
What do I want? I want a good match that doesn't just involve me attacking you, that's ridiculously boring! I can get the same effect by playing training mode with the CPU set to autoblock and counter. You aren't a scrub which is why I want a better fight. If you were a scrub I'd expect that type of game play. But after playing you several different times it is probably best we just ignore each other.

I have certainly been disconnected during a match and I know i've win quit on you but RQ...not on your scrubby Blanka I didn't I get hate mail because I suck and i play like a scrub and people get mad when they lose to a scrub. I've never received one hate mail after a win quit. Seriously. Most of my hate mail comes after they rq on me. I have a 0bp account cause I don't play ranked. Now you are saying i'm a troll? I've win quit 3 times in the last month. I've been quit on by you a couple times already in the last month I guarantee you that you have way more RQs than I have any type of quitting and your reputation proves that out. Your views are unique Shane and most people simply disagree with your view. You say its hypocrisy but its simply that they don't agree with you. Most people think win quitting is for shits and giggles...they simply don't care. However, most people agree that RQing is just bad for the game. You see them as the same but I simply can't agree with you.
We played 5 matches and you were using your stealth account, you beat me 5-0, we got matched up later and I beat you 5-0 and your RQed on the last match. Do you remember the hate message I sent you? And yes I do RQ on you and I have win quit on you and yes they were rude and disrespectful, as that was the point. Trolling is trolling and you as well as others see no problem with it but many disagree. I have my reputation because I'm public about it, I could hide behind other accounts like a ton of other people do and keep my reputation clean but I have nothing to hide nor do I hide anything. There are plenty of players that feel the same way I do, you just don't hear them because they aren't public about it.

I kinda knew this was coming as soon as Shane said he played Pops. I was like, "aw dammit he's probably pissed." Pops does play very defensive, until he gets a knockdown, which is when he goes in with all his amazing setups. He does this because he's an AE-trained player, so his game is all footsies until he can start a wakeup vortex. He's not going to approach anyone he doesn't need to. He's as smart as an AE player, and that's why we think he's so good. It's also exactly the style that Shane hates, because it means he'll have to do all the approaching. I'm not surprised this confrontation happened in the slightest. As for WQs vs RQs, I feel like there is a difference between them when you're playing ranked, because ranked is all about BP and W/L records. On friendlies though, I hate WQs just as much as I hate RQs. Because there's no point to it, we're on friendlies for #### sake. There's no BP or visible win record, so all it becomes is a disrespect. It's telling the opponent, "You lost, and I'm not even giving you the OPTION of a rematch." Unfortunately, I've heard a few people on Line say that Pops has RQed on them as well. And not always WQs either. It's unfortunate if that's true, and I should hope that he doesn't do it anymore. If Pops and Shane ever get matched on friendlies, I suppose you guys have two options: 1) you guys can choose to play rush down against each other, even if that's not your usual style. Shane, you have the option to do this as well, not just pops. OR 2) if you guys don't feel like playing rush down, just leave on the matching screen when you see each other.
But I don't want people to play like that, they have to play exactly the way I want them to, even if that's a bad idea against my character. If they don't I'll just RQ and then justify it by saying they were boring.
My $0.02. Now, I have never complained about anyone's behaviour here or called anyone out, but Shane is well known for doing what he does. Every other day, I see him going off on BN and he is well known on LINE to quit on matches. But here at TA, we aren't quite as tight-knit or into the team thing as others, and coupled with how long shane has been here we let it slide to some extent. We aren't the kind of team that will kick you out or ask you to change your ways, I don't think; we are pretty easy going. However, I do think that this does reflect poorly on us to some extent. Personally, I think quitting on anyone unless you know them well is pretty disrespectful. Even when I play against people on LINE and I winquit after a long set, they still freak out and ask me what happened. I would rather just walk back and dodge fireballs for 60s instead of quitting, but that's me. But here's the truth: -Blanka is very hard to approach. He does ridiculous damage, has some moves with crazy priority and can mixup highs and lows very quickly. He's a giant green troll -Shane, you do play a pretty damn good blanka. As I have told you before, it took me the better part of 1.5 years to figure out how to effectively rushdown blanka, but even still that's only with Guile. -I have seen replays of what you consider lame. DROQQA was playing fine and honestly, that was really poor form what you did to him. I have played against people who have seriously teleported for 90s and avoided the fight for 90s. I'm sure not everyone you play plays like that At some point, ignoring the way people play is an excuse and if you want to become a better player, you can't expect to get better if you avoid those matches.
I agree but I'll add one thing. The difference between AE and volt is autoblock and sp assist. If you are going to play like you do on AE then play off/off. I always look at everyone's player card and the first thing I look for is on/on. If you play lame and are off/off, I don't say anything and in the worst case scenario I won't rematch. Unfortunately I have never met a single person that plays off/off that I RQed on. I've played some that we're off/off and they RQ'ed on me and I sent then a GC invite saying good games and respect for off/off.
Except I didn't RQ in this case, in fact I let him kick my @ss for 4 matches. And if you are a player who is incapable of not playing lame I usually avoid you.
This is my whole point; everyone here does something other people considers disrespectful and yet I'm the only one that is called on it. If TA wants to set the example then everyone should be held to the same standard, no exceptions. And with regards to Droqqa, I agree it was in poor form and for that I apologize, I was extremely upset with myself for letting his play style get to me in a tournament. This was the second tourney I was in, in the last few months and my previous opponent was a bison who just jumped back and did an air punch. All I want are fun matches, that's its, I couldn't care less about BP, or win record. I have great matches with ches and his multi characters, I have fun against hieu and his multi characters, I have fun and incredible frustration against alucard (although I don't like the guy), I love my matches against kaboom and there are a ton of other players who play for fun and they all beat me and that's cool because it's fun. Who here never RQ's in the first round if there isn't lag? Probably no one, why? Because its not fun! If you guys want me to change then everyone needs to change and official team rules need to be set.
