10 repeatedly banned accounts, rage-spewing all-caps posts filled with profanity, belittling and other nonsense, and yet the moderators are the pathetic geeks. Just for the record, guys, you seem to be a self-contained community so for the most part you've been left alone and had it easier than the rest of the forum. But over-the-top stuff will still bring down the wrath of whichever moderator comes to answer the reported posts. Just be cool.
I'll be honest I've used swear words and other inappropriate comments and I never saw them moderated so I thought it was ok. It's cool that you leave us alone but what are some guidelines you would like us to stick to (no swearing or just no over the top stuff, or no name calling etc)?

Just like the above says, the same rules apply to every forum and thread. But thanks to history, only a few die-hard regulars post in this thread and it's formed a mini-community. Some people in this thread have been around for a long time and I've never seen them post anywhere else. That should speak volumes. I'm pretty sure I'm the only mod that regularly keeps an eye this thread. The others mostly pop in when there's some trouble, and that's when we get called all sorts of names. No targeted hate and over-the-top insults will be tolerated by any moderator though. I may edit out the occasional swear, but I wouldn't step in unless things get out of hand. Take that as you will.
Didn't know that profanity was not allowed, I got a time out for offending people, but when I posted I was referring to people who send me those messages with the profanity in their messages directed at me which I quoted. So I guess I offended myself? Are my masochist ways not allowed here? I will remain a prude Victorian era woman from now on. >.>
You guys actually censor all that manually? I always assumed it was automatic, like it recognized certain words to bleep out. I've even used swear words specifically because of that sometimes, because I thought it looked humorous to see them censored in context.
Some words are bleeped-out automatically, the moderators don't have much to do with that. Time for me to retreat into omnipresence. Carry on as usual~
A few did at various points in time, definitely not at the level that you guys are at though. Don't think any still do.
