Thanks to the person that told me to use Sagat and press s..k against Zangief. Not only did I win with ease, but it was funny watching him try to approach me. Zangief's ultra also didn't instant K.O me. It was a great day.

 

If only chord didn't get exponentially stronger next week..

 

This only happens against players I play multiple times. Against good players like yourself, it usually takes me quite a few matches, or even quite a few sets, to learn how to best play against them. Then I'll do better against them from then on. For instance, I noticed that you almost never do wakeup srks, it's almost always backdashes, so I was able to take advantage and apply a lot of pressure.

EDIT: This does not apply to S rank players like Tenz, Nero, Eskapade, and slrc. There's just no figuring them out no matter how hard I try. T~T

 

Found out today if makoto does tsurugi on a jump forward against a crouching cammy in the corner, you will land on top of them and then you will be pushed behind into the corner. I found out in a match when my opponent then backdashed into my fukiage and killed themself

 

can you dodge reverse SRK with that? Coz it isn't hard for Makoto to corner some1, you just have to land ex hayate once!

 

I don't know, it's a really odd setup. I'm sure it would work on Yun and other chars with small hitboxes. Try it for yourself and watch it slowly. Makoto lands entirely on top of Cammy and then gets pushed out

I think you need to learn the Cammy Gief matchup better. I honestly don't have many issues with Gief using Cammy. Only the S tier Giefs for me were unbeatable.

 

I'm "decent" at the match-up, but I usually don't use Cammy online. She's mostly a lag checker so that I can play Viper or when people are getting all srs. I tend to have problems with Shadaloo characters.

 

Hey hey hey, Zangief is only a bad guy in some of the cartoons. In the games, he tries to take down Shadaloo for the glory of Mother Russia!

Also are you including Cammy in this since she's an ex-Shadaloo member?

 

Gief players expect to lose to Sagat. It's infinitely more satisfying to beat them when they counter pick Cammy with Gief. Haha. Half the time they RQ when you beat them

Wow, I was just trying Kara cancel with Sagat's F+HK and Tiger Knee. The range of that thing is just plain stupid.
