About the sound effects, I changed it manually by editing game files to have jap voices with english/fr game... I originally wanted to have Makoto's japanese voice (Kempoooooo), cause I was frustrated by her english one but then did this to other characters aswell.. "ore no makeda !!" (fei long), "naaandadooo" (bison), akuma's ultra etc. Took the english voice effects and replaced it by the japanese files. for example : e_ryu_hadoken.wav = english hadoken voice ryu_hadoken.wav = japanese hadoken voice but i haven't made this to all chars, lazy About the Bison, he got me into his lowkicks but then used sweep kick don't know why he did this but that led him to his death ------------- Another match I just had with another Abel, I was so stressed till the end !!
great game, especially how you avoided his super and made a throw, btw why dont you make punch instead of one of the kicks when you connect it with knee press, it makes a bit more damage i think.
SoulBlade I feel like we have the worst luck of maintaining a stable connection with eachother. Still the matches we played were solid good games dude.
Yeeeah, I was going to mention that. This language makes the fighting seem more intense to me then the american voices, It would be cool if there was such thing as a DLC voice pack. There are alot of different DLC ideas I would put cash on with this game.
I usually assume, when fighting Dhalsim, that unless I'm in the corner, he's going to try to teleport behind me and combo. So when I see him start the teleport, I just walk backwards. If he teleported behind me, he gets thrown, if not, I just put a little distance between us, because if he didn't teleport behind me, they usually teleport above where they were just standing and try to do a flying Fierce punch. Either way, I get out free. Depending on who you're using, it's a pretty easy matchup. If you're Sagat, all you have to do is throw Tiger Shots and keep him out. You don't have to get in on him, HE has to get in on YOU in order to get the win. With Bison it's more complicated and I don't know that I could give you good advice with him. Far as other wakeup options, it depends on the character. With Sagat, if they're right on top of you and look like they might try something, you can Tiger Uppercut. Sometimes just blocking on wakeup works because then they whiff whatever move they tried and you get to punish. You have to watch for throws though. As far as cross ups are concerned, I still don't quite know how they work in this game. If someone goes to cross you up in any other Street Fighter game, you defend the opposite way you're facing, so if you're facing left, you push right(back) to block the cross up. But that never seems to work for me in this game. I get crossed up a bunch because the blocking is weird. I don't know if it's Autoblock that's messing me up or what. Anyone got any ideas?
Auto block will block crossups for you. If you play a charge character though, youre most likely holding back, so that could screw you up. But yea, if the attack crosses up you need to block facing the opposite direction.
Lol. I know. Except the ones where I picked Fei Long. I still remember the one u beat me off your ultras chip damage. I was stting there like "ha. I'll just block you and punish it.... WTF?!?!"
fffan7777, taking 2 out of 10 games from your Bison is a STEAL. Though it didn't look like you were playing as usual in the games I won. Good games.
The first game, I was watching TV. I didn't see who I was matched up against. When the match starts, I see it's a Viper and it's in the 3000BP range. Just for a second I thought to myself, "Hmm, this could be Vaceotyn." And sure enough, after getting crapped on the first game and the matchup screen shows up for the second match, I see your name. After that, I had to focus more on the match and mute the TV. Tried out a new combo that I never tried before where I usually go headstomp -> skull diver -> c.punch -> knee press, tried switching the knee press to EX headstomp. Seemed to work out ok, it's just that it's so tough breaking out of one of my BnB combos. On another note, your avatar beat me 10-0 haha. Combine it with our 10 set and you are 12-8 hahaha. I tried an avatar build with no luck (20 luck); apparently that's a huge factor for avatars. I thought it only applied to the randomly activated skills, but that's not the case. Now, I built a luck heavy avatar. I wonder how it will do. I'm just lucky that this week we weren't matched up on the tournament, or else you definitely would've taken the 2 pts there.
that is maybe the reason actually. i will try to let autoblock deal with wakeup jks or similar stuff. i have read that you can make ex head on wakeup because of few frames of invincibility. it looks like it's a bit complicated to do this online in this game. but that guy has very good stats with dhalsim so it means that he is also very good player.
^ Yea, I think luck is actually the most important factor for the avatar battles. Took a look at your player card after our matches... Over 450 total wins, only 19 losses with Bison... Unreal win %
Ain't that the truth. But I would think if I were holding back then I'd still be able to block it. Autoblock is weird in this game. Every SF game except Third Strike has had autoblock but it's a different kind. In the real games it means that if you get stuck in a blockstring that even if you stop holding back, the game will block the rest of it for you as if you were holding back, which is what I thought it was until last night. Guess I should turn it off. By the way, just as a point of curiosity and not derision, how many of you guys use the SP Assist mode? I started using it with Makoto and it made things possible that aren't possible in non-SP mode. It was beastly!
well, got 1500bp, nice. Played vs gapnavy too, nothing special. Really f tired of jk at wakeups. This is just really f annoying. Matchup bison vs fei is definetely not in fei favor, or still noone knows how to use fei right.
