what was the condition? To start with closeMK then shoulder? start your combo with double palm = easy 600+ damage
Zangief is so infuriating... Does anyone know how to deal with him besides choosing Akuma? I tried spamming Viper's seismo and I kept getting hit. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, usually just relying on Viper's specials make easy wins.. :/ *sigh* Remove Zangief from the game Capcom..
Just found a character specific cross-under for Cammy. FA2/3 to backdash > late cannon strike, so you hit on the other side of the opponent > walk under your opponent again, back to your original side. That's right, you don't even need to dash, you can just walk under them while they're flipping. Works on 5 characters: Sakura, Balrog, Vega, Fei, and Akuma. There are also 3 characters it works on, but only by dashing under: Yun, Cody, and Makoto.
I've been playing with her and Ryu for the past month or two, getting pretty ok with them so far. Also I have a REALLY scrubby Fei and Chun as well. Those two are just for funsies.
cl.MK, Shoulder xx Genei Jin. Max damage. Go Run away like a sissy! Seriously.... Also, use normals or good specials to keep him out. But don't expect shoryuken to aa him everytime. look at using cr.HP or other tools your character has From my notes, that should work on Sakura Fei Long Makoto C Viper Cody Vega Akuma Yun Balrog. Or the way I think of it, characters that TenOnez plays. As a reset, FA 3, cr jab, dash/FADC goes those chars too. Want more? Or FA 3, EX Spiral Arrow (1 hit, late), FADC, dash under works on those chars too.
Not C. Viper for this one, unless she requires different timing/spacing from the rest of the characters, which I didn't try. Also this reset has the advantage of crossing up twice without any meter, and because you can just walk under without dashing, which is very cool. I figured people already knew the cr.jab cross-unders for cammy so this is a nice switch to it.
Your main is Cammy so just space him out with your standing kick. If he jumps, just cr. strong punch him. Once in awhile, jump at him or run in for a throw. It's a bad match but not impossible with Cammy.
Don't rely too much on standing normals though. Remember what happens when normals' hurtboxes and SPD's hitbox connect... Neutral jump kicks work well with Zangief players who love jumping.
Neutral jump can be negated by his lariat so you have to be careful too. I find poking and ex-strike mix ups work well against Gief. Also, you have to take risks to beat him. That body splash is worthless against Cammy so it takes away a huge weapon of his.
Use sim! The scrubiest players will RQ on you because the match up is so rediculous. You can watch my replay of my sim (which sucks) against cyrax's gief. I play off/off so if you play on/on you will probably do even better.
Well...i think Sagat is even a worse matchup for Gief. Just fierce kick all day and watch Gief die or jump back and start spamming FB hahahahaha Edit: Even Cyrus the Gief God had issues with Sagat
Can anyone land this with Guile? Jump + P -> cr.lp -> ex sonic boom -> ultra? Better still, who can land it live in a match?
Ha! I can't even land EX Sonic Boom into Ultra anways. I wonder if you can land sonicboom, Ultra, if far enough away.
