Makoto has to be very offensive with her mix ups, because if you're put to the defense turn, you'll be at disadvantage. Her normals are probably the best in the game because she has a lot of priorities with them, frames advantage-wise. Don't always rely on throws to deal damage, mix her low kick into overheads to trick your opponent's block. For Makoto to do good damage you will need to hit links, crMP xx Hayate is just not enough damage to finish a combo, as she needs to work hard to earn a chance to get close for her next combo. Her wake up isn't great, ex chop has no throw invinc and ex command grab will leave you wide open if whiffed. Her poor defense is the main reason that she is considered low tier, so to play her effectively you'll have to avoid getting as few ''knocked down'' as possible
cr.mp, hayate, fadc, st.mp x2, cr.mp/st.mk, hayate is a good combo SAY HELLO TO THE WORLD OF 1 frame links XD lol
I know all this, but while playing online I drop EVERY combo, with both Makoto and Akuma. It's like st.HK, st.HP xx Tatsu, SRK and st.MP, st.MP, st.MK xx Hayate is almost impossible for me while playing online. I don't have any problems with single player modes though. About playing offensive with Makoto, I tried it against your Balrog, but with so many mix ups and moves with invinc getting close to him is a pain. Without any real blockstring Makoto's pressure is beaten by any attack with invinc at startup, or just trades with other normals. And Hayate on block is unsafe (I still don't know why nobody punishes me after blocking it).
I'm sure I watched a really great comeback using a genei jin reset in one of nash' videos. It was probably Kaboom.
Haha I know what you mean! I tried picking up Makoto earlier today but I have kind of quit because it is impossible to start any rushdown when people are pressing their buttons. I also fought a couple of Zangiefs and Sagats which was also disappointing. However, it is really fun playing as Makoto especially when you get a win. I think I'll keep going forward with her and counter pick any people I have problems with.
Seems like a hard character to play with. I even beat decent ones with my super scrubby nooby Guile BTW...i really liked the replays in the tourney. I think you're the best Cammy in Volt right now. Great setups
GGs Ronny Soto. Lol at the title SF4 volt God. I'm too rusty with ken and chunli. Got lag after the end of sim. Lets play later ill play the rest of the roster with u lol
Lol thanks but its honestly just me pressing buttons and mashing cannon strike. I'm sure you're better than me.
Soooooo just did a few matches online. Each round must have taken 6 minutes, the lag was so bad. Lost basically every round. Against BAD people. Was amazing; remembered why I stopped playing. Fireballs would pause for 5 seconds at one side of the screen...then be at me in the next frame. Or they wouldn't. Inputs would be eaten by lag and combos would be dropped. It was miserable. I kept losing to jump ins...LOOOOOONG in-air pause jump-ins...because even releasing my hand from the device kept me crouching (?). No clue if the control on my device sticks there or if that's a bug. Need a fixed device and US internet before I can try something this painful again.
Only Makoto players know the feeling when they brutally lose against someone online and then that person humors them by using an equally terrible character only for it to become a combo exhibition for the other player. It's comical really, Makoto's own moves might as well put her in hit stun so the match would go faster. >.>
Pfft, 543? I can beat that by a large margin! cl.mk, shoulder, super, upkicks, upkicks, lunge, upkicks, upkicks, upkicks, cr.hp, upkicks. 544 ^Pro Poongko class damage.
Lol I've only known one cammy player that actually did more than two hit combos, alucard. The guy is a dick but he is very good with multiple characters.
I'll take your word for it. In Cammy mirrors, the scrubbiest one wins. No combos are ever thrown. . I've had plenty of mirrors with Alucard too
