I play using my left thumb and my right index finger, so I'm not sure my exact changes would help most people, but here's what I did: I moved the touchpad down and slightly to the left, and I moved all the attack buttons slightly to the left as well. But the attack buttons are only because I use my index finger, so my hand is in a different position on the iPhone 5 than a thumb player's would be. For most people, I'd say try moving the attack buttons slightly to the right, and down if you can. Keep them spaced the same way they are now, just all shifted closer to the bottom corners of the screen, to help counteract the bigger screen width. You definitely have enough room to do this for the touchpad, but I'm not sure there's a lot of room to move the attack buttons, but try it out and see if you find a position that makes them easier to reach. And of course, everyone's bodies can get used to playing with ANY layout over time. You just have to suffer through the adjustment period until you develop new muscle memory. I sucked pretty bad after I got the iPhone 5, and I definitely agree the screen width adds an extra speed bump that the older iPhones never had, but now that I've gotten used to it, I'm just as comfortable with it as I was with the 4.
Open a Steet Fighter petition thread and we will discuss there all the changes of the game we want to do!
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=2890490 let's see how this goes. I hope we can drum up enough interest to attract Capcom's attention!
Gg kaboom. Every time I thought of a sick setup that would blow your mind, you wouldn't let me do it, because you were killing me too badly...
K I know it was laggy but don't blame me on that... Games with most other players weren't so bad It was ok at the start when I could land those Akuma links I don't know why connection slipped away GGs HR
Weekly Bracket Tourney Capt.Yadier thought of a great idea last night. How do people feel about a weekly tourney, similar to Team Spooky's Next Level Battle Circuit or Level Up Live's Wednesday Night Fights? For example, every Thursday night, we could pick a 2~3 hour block that accommodates both East Coast & West Coast North America (yes, because the world revolves around us). Whoever is interested would pop into (and stay in) the chat room. We would set up a quick bracket on Challonge. All matches would take place within that 2~3 hour block. No more trying to coordinate with people who aren't available. If you can't make it a particular week, no worries. Only those in the chat room are in the tourney. Setting up each match would be done via the chat. Single Elim, probably best of 5. If there's lag, unfortunately, we'll have to deal with it. Maybe try to reconnect a few times, at best, but no postponing fights. edit: Draft Webpage here: http://sf4volt.wordpress.com/ We're proposing Thursday 9pm EST/6pm PST - the link will give you some other timezones for reference.
Holy ish. It seems to be ok now. I have to give it more time but besides the black bars it seems to be working good. I can land 4 bar combos again. Thanks dude.
Crazy idea for volt: Doing moves manually does more damage. (Scales, so a fireball might do +10, but SPD might do +40. This would require moves to be scaled down in terms of damage first). Discuss
Are you really suggesting that? Deleting autoguard should be enough to make the game revolve more around skill. People are still playing the game because it's easy. I mean, just take a look at SFxTK. There are lots of lvl 50 players who only know basic things like abc cross art and that only know to keep mashing st.LK after a blockstring, and that's why they keep playing. Most players just learn things from matches and even avoid training mode. Also, remember that we're talking about a port with simplified controls. By doing that, the game would be dead right after the release. iOS is a casual platform after all, and by doing that you would make people avoid "SSFIV Volt AE".
