Why? That instant EX Tatsu is EX. You still need to do the quarter circle gesture. Then the other half of the combo is easy even without SP (cr.HP xx Hadouken, cr.HP xx Tatsu).
Yup. The problem is timing. You can't do it fast because the game will detect it as SRK. down-forward + P, neutral, quarter forward + P, FADC, the same. It's difficult but not impossible. EDIT: ugh, now I'm getting more SRK than Hadouken. This seems to be really random. I take it back. In SFxTK it seems easier though.
that because that motion is for srk ^^^ in AE, that same "shortcut" works in volt the best motion is buffering the move down, down forward, punch (hold), forward, (release punch)
I didn't know that. But after FADC, if you try it again you'll get SRK again. down, down forward, punch (hold), forward, (release punch), FADC, down, down forward, punch (hold)
After fadc go to neutral (fadc by double tap F instead of F dash) Then do the motion Almost like a song rythm
I still get SRK. I'm not too good at rythm games xD The way buffering works also explains why sometimes after st.HK, cr.MK I get EX Tatsu instead of Tatsu. Sometimes I do cool combos at corner without even wanting to do that.
So filthy! :-O Noice! @Capt: Great vids Capt!! Also was drooling at your Chun Li vs some Viper rep! Don't know how you did that ultra like that on reaction.
I was practicing it alot during those days in training room. It can be used to punish many things. The trick is doing the manual motion while dashing fast enough that when you press sp, the ultra will come out in the direction of the opponent.
Hey guys, do you think that the fact that Apple will allow developers to add controller support for their games will make Capcom actually port SF games with full controls? I'm sure Apple devices can handle the 3DS version of SF IV without problems.
iPhone 5 is easily more powerful than the DS. It would be easy but if I were the developer, I wouldn't target iPhones but iPads. Would make an awkward experience to use a controller for a phone
I've been using the Wii Classic Controller for the SNES emu and it doesn't feel awkward at all. Without those controllers there's no way to play SF games with full touch controls. By playing some games on the PPSSPP emu, I can tell you that Tekken, DBZ and Soul Calibur are some of the few fighting games that work with touch controls with full controls.
I'm not saying the controls are awkward. I'm saying the experience of looking at a 4 inch screen using a third party control is awkward. I hope they keep the controls as is in the next gen for a small form factor touchscreen device and give us other options for a full fledged device built for tablets or Apple TV.
The problem is that it would make some serious differences between iPhones/iPods and iPads. By using simplified controls we don't have the full movelist in those games, while full controls would give us the full movelist at the cost of the gameplay (believe me that playing SFA3 with touch controls is a nightmare). What about this controller?
