Jump at Cody. Backflip on wakeup can't be punished very well. Cody is trash

I think it's 6-4 Cammy Vega. 7-3 is more like Cammy Abel/Sim. Cammy loses a lot of her advantage cause vega is very quick and his normals are better.

Holy cow are sim mirrors annoying!! Chasing a teleporting sim with a teleporting sim is crazy! I finally just gave up and tried to stay grounded. I won 1 out of three. Not bad for off/off against on/on. The replay is up if you want to torture yourself:p

It's very demanding if you are playing off/off. It turns into a teleport spam fight and hoping you land a lucky hit into super.

It is kinda fun because you just teleport around and yoga spear everything

I dunno man, 8-2 seems really steep, for makoto especially. I don't think there are any 8-2 matchups in this game at all.

What Cody frame traps are you having trouble with? Traditional frame traps are ass in volt. Cody's frame trap game isn't even close to what it is in AE. Vega can outpoke cody all day.

Well if we're gonna do character matchups, here's my take on Cammy's:

    3.5-6.5: Guile
    4-6: Ryu, Gief
    4.5-5.5: Sagat
    5-5: Ken, Blanka, Bison, Honda
    5.5-4.5: Akuma
    6-4: Fei, Yun, Makoto
6.5-3.5: Vega, Chun, Cody, Sakura, Viper
    7-3: Abel, Dhalsim

Not sure about Dee Jay and Rog, haven't really played them enough.

Makoto and Yun are pretty free for Cammy. Apprunner and I decided that Cammy-Sagat is pretty close, but maybe slightly in Cammy's favour.

DeeJay v Cammy is probably in cammy's favour. His projectile has terrible recovery. 5.5-4.5?

Rog v Cammy I would put at about 6-4

    XD Agree.

Daigo: Spam dat crouching medium kick.

And plus, Vega's claw never goes off.

Don't agree at cammy beating Sagat. He's slightly easier than ryu for her due to his crappy movement speed and not as good pokes, but he can still zone her out pretty well and dat tiger knee.

Yeah yun should probably be 6.5-3.5 on second thought, but Makoto isn't really free for cammy.

High Tiger Shot is unusable vs cammy. As far as I know, historically, it has always been a good matchup for cammy.

I think Cammy Sagat is even. Deejay is even for me and Guile is only 6-4. In fact, Ryu I think is harder depending on his turtleness.

Cammy Bison is 6-4 for me. Viper is 5-5 for me.

Disclaimer. Snooper knows way more about the game than me. :)

I can see where you're coming from, nothing to different from what I said. Bison-cammy and sagat-cammy are very debatable. Definitley think cammy has an advantage over viper though

You may be right. I base my experience playing Nero. Seems he figured out Cammy completely. :(

I guess we can just say that Cammy v Sagat/Bison is a coinflip. That's pretty damn good against the top tier chars.

I'd say Cammy is favoured vs Viper. Viper has trouble against fast characters with low attacks like Blanka as well

We know she straddles the border between top and mid. She is still weak against quite a few of the other top characters such as Gief, Ryu, Guile, Rog and evens out against Sagat and Bison.

I also think lag kills her more than a lot of the other characters.

Edit: IMO, Fei is 6-4 against her.

How funny. I remember reading in the SFxTK thread about Hwo being bottom tier, with poor combos, damage and other things.
Maybe Cody isn't that bad after all and it's just that nobody plays him the way it's supposed to be played (yup, I'm talking about Zonk and such). Sure, most of his tools rely on EX bars (I always found EX RK to be the most useful move along with EX Zonk), but that doesn't mean he can't deal with most chars from the cast.

I can assure you Cody is terrible in this game.

Hwo is top tier in SFxT, but he's not as good in iPhone. I'm not up to date with SFxT iPhone though

In a poke/footsy battle, Cody totally beats out Vega. His cr.mk (or is it lk?) stops every single one of Vega's normals and specials, and Cody's cr.jabs beat out Vega's cr.jabs. He can just cr.jab, cr.mk, and zonk the entire match, and he will dominate vega on the ground. They form natural frame traps that Vega can't respond to in a footsy game.

Vega's normals make good frame traps as well, but Cody has great options to break them up with zonk and ex criminal upper. Vega can't break through Cody's traps without a jump or a super lucky jab.
