Yep. The two reasonably lag-free games I had today were against a Yun who knew what he was doing - and, as I haven't faced one of those before, it went badly in the second fight (first was won narrowly) due to pretty much what you describe.

It was like the game had gone into slow motion and the moves went on forever...

Just played a few ranked matches against a guy called RickM4. He used bison and his sig was 'Cammy is 4 girls'. I beat him first match with Abel, decided to play as cammy just for laughs. Beat him 6 times with cammy. After that he quit and sent me a GC request saying:

"You f***ing c**t f***ing cammy is the cheapest f***ing character in the game f***ing divekicks f**k you dude your such a f***ing scrub you should f***ing kill yourself".

Naturally I accepted his friend request and sent an invite to play some friendly games but it was declined :(

Very well done. Messages like that make the hours spent training in SF4V all worthwhile.

That's impressive. I've been on the verge of hitting 2k the last few days and have been pretty happy with that (almost) accomplishment. But every damn time I hit the cusp I run into a player with ~3-4k. It feels good when I put up an impressive fight and take those matches to 3 rounds though.

Haha yeah. I laughed so hard when I read that. Whenever I see someone with a tag saying X character is broken I always use them just for laughs. Just imagining some 13 year old throwing his iPod out the window or something haha.

Anytime sir! Anytime you wanna play again, let me know and if I'm near a good connection, I'm down! I agree about the chat or at least some kind of texting feature. That would be pretty nice although I can see how it could be abused.

I usually just send sarcastic messages to ragequitters. This one guy today kept getting hit by my low Roundhouse moves and wound up quitting after I'd pretty much won the first match. So I quickly reconnected and got him again, and was about to beat him a SECOND time when he RQ'ed on me. So I sent him something like, "You know, you can block low too. Then you wouldn't have to quit so much. ;) "

But there was some cheapass Honda player tonight that made me feel like sending one of the ones you got. I hate Honda with a passion.

Gief I can usually handle now (but I used to have a lot of trouble with him), but I haven't played enough Honda players to really get a good grip on it. The guy I played tonight kept spamming that rising sumo thing (sumo drop? I dunno...) and I got to a point where I was able to block it. I'd throw a boom and he'd Sumo drop over it and I figured out a way around it, but by then it was too late. And he quit after without giving me a rematch.

That's another thing I hate. If you beat someone, at least have the decency to give them a rematch.

I still remember the time I could not do anything to counter your moves. It's still feels like that a lot of the times when you just keep putting the pressure and there's pretty much no counter for it. It's pretty tough countering the burning kick once it's going. I just have mad respect for you when you main someone that's not commonly used and can crap on pretty much anyone you face against.

On another note, I tried playing this game on a 3G network... it's very different. The gameplay is smooth but it's tough dealing with the delayed inputs as opposed to when on the Wi-Fi, the game can be laggy but the inputs are instantaneous. Only played one match and it was still enough to beat someone that was 2k, but never gonna try that again.

I've actually had a couple pretty solid matches over 3G, but you've gotta have a really good connection for it to work. I'd say minimum 4 bars or -90db for it to not lag or at least not lag that much.
