Hi Jibba! GGS. I have a shitty Internet and don't think I can play regularly, but I float around on Volt only now and again. Fortunately, the connection has gotten somehow better after the app crushed surprisingly. I'm still working on Abel, but it's hard to do when you don't play that much! I am glad I bumped into you today, thank you Jibba!! ;D
Thanks for the matches Fini. Yeah, the connection sucked at first but got much better for that long set. I still had some issues with input lag but no big deal. Most people quit after one match these days so getting in a set of ten was great. I'm glad I ran into you since those may be my only matches of the day. I'm still trying to re-learn Sim after a long run with SFxT and then one with Abel when I came back to Volt. Your Vega is still a lot of fun to play. I was surprised how well you pressured me in the corners. I'm not used to that kind of pressure from Vega. .
Haha I have just done 3 exams, playing a bit of Volts as a break. I have one week until my next exam But yea time to get back to studies I play every once in a while so I don't lose my timing and such The more I play Fei the more I like the character many useful frame traps, a good FA and Rekka that punishes a lot of things Dunno why ppl rate him mid-low tier I think he deserves a place on good tier
Good games slrc! It was a fun set. Thanks, I try to use Yun as best as I can. You're a good with a variety of freaking characters man! Also, good games 3 Chord! I ran across him the other day and it was a pretty intense set as well. His Vega's just as dangerous as the last time I faced him.
For a moment I thought that you did lost your "timing and such" in the first 3 matches lol GGs! I should avoid being THAT predictable
Haha the first 3 games were warm ups, and no you aren't too predictable but I'm watching closely of the options u would try on wake up. I didn't realize observing was actually important until I met TenOnez either I realized that, a lot of players have this "panic option" they do when they are not certain about whether the opponent is going to attack or not For u it was jump, not a bad idea since it will avoid throws, but you need to stop that when I got u with meaty chicken-wings and such... Sometimes you just have to block, sometimes mash srk, there are no absolutely-right options in street fighter it all depends on what kinda player u face! Quote from James Chen the SF4AE commentator, you're fighting against the player instead of the character. So start observing!
lol That's not new for me. For instance, some days ago I posted a cool reset combo for Makoto after FA. When I was playing with Harle I tried it, after obviously forgetting that he had read it and eating a Flash Kick after the air reset xD Didn't you enjoy that double cross up into grab change? I may be new to Volt, but I still know some things from SFxTK.
Who is that guy? I ran into him last night. He literally just jump backed fireball the entire time. I beat him twice and win quit on the last one
In SFxT ppl roll too much on wake up lol, not too hard to read their moves One thing I hate is that ppl neutral jump so much in that game... Until u walk forward or make a mistake
Heh. Resets can be high risk/high reward. I don't even remember what reset you talked about, but I've seen enough setups to know when someone's trying something. Though, to punish that you can next level them by baiting the reversal with a neutral jump or a high invinc move. For example with Makoto, you can go for the standard Fukiage, J p dash under setup, but doing Tsurugi there (axe kick) will catch neutral jumps. I suppose an ex oroshi (chop) will catch all normals. Against a flash kick, I think, they will pass through each other.
Hey man, GGs early today! That Abel was a serious thing. I really liked the first match and I stood no chance using Cammy. It's good to see that old players are coming back
Hey, good set. Your cammy.... I'm just speechless how absurdly good it is. I'm surprised how good you are even considering you were retired for a while. Check your PMs. I'd be great to chat with you
Just watched the cammy mirror replay. I got lucky when you whiffed that throw at the end of the first round. And you missed a big punish when I whiffed an uppercut after you nuetral jumped on my wakeup (clever). It was actually pretty close. I'll just go on my computer and check my pms. Fiddling around with stuff like that is annoying on a phone. Edit: Watched the replay again and I see where you tried to do the reset, but like you said it doesn't work if they mash. That guile video is really, really neat by the way. I need to hit the training room and try to find some safe jumps for Cammy. She could definitely get something off her throw seeing as it's her back throw which is almost broken in AE. Been watching lots and lots of SF footage lately and that thing is crazy good. For anyone wondering where to watch some quality matches, check out the youtube channels: Le Tempura, TheDi4m4TT, teamspooky and Yogaflame24.
The Cammy safe jumps I found: (EX) Cannon Spike (ground) (Techable) Dash x2, Jump* (EX) Axle Spin Knuckle (Techable) Dash x3, Jump* They are awkward though in that they are techable and you dont usually hit someone with a ground canon spike (usually FADC into a 2nd one) and Spin Knuckle is close to useless. Spiral Arrow is awkward for safe jumps because of the range, and I don't believe there are any good ones after cr rh or Ultra
Not sure about her sweep as I never use it, but you might be able to get something off a juggled ultra. No chance if it's the full ultra though, not enough time. And yeah spin knuckle is a bit of a joke. Alright for post stun corner combos but that's it really.
