I was already doing that back then. I also tried spamming st.MP, but well... you can imagine the results :p
Even while Makoto's backdash is pretty cool, its invinc frames aren't enough for successfully avoiding Abel's f+k. Most of the time I got hit while backdashing, which resulted in air reset. By doing that I get out of the f+k spamming trap, but by doing st.MP I also get hit, but at least I also hit Abel.

When using Makoto I always try to keep the opponent under my control, but once I get knocked down, I can't do almost anything, as you probably already know. EX Chop is cool at wakeup for avoiding any attack, but command grabs and grabs still work. That's when I have problems with Abel's TT and f+k.
It's like I'm having problems with any grappler in this game xD

GGs dude! Love that Makoto of yours, great moves, great timing. Sorry about my shitty Balrog. He really didn't like your Akuma, lol.

EDIT: And yes, there are too many people these days who play Yun. Back in the day it was just Felix, Hieu and sometimes ~Kaboom~. I think when TenOnez starting rolling out with his amazing combos and fancy footwork everyone else wanted in. That's why I'm trying to learn Balrog now.

Your ex command grab should take care of both the step kick or TT pressure that comes right after wake up.

Who's fought "in_my_opinion"?? He's a 4k Ryu. Somehow I'm not entirely sure he's 100% legit. He took my Balrog easily numerous times but crumbled like a house of cards when I pulled out Yun to spice things up a little. He didn't even ask for a re-match after that, he just mashed that exit button :(

People nowadays quit on me when I pick Yun, right on the VS screen. Any explanations as to why? I'm really not that good. If anything, I'm probably the most random and input error riddled player you'll ever stumble upon.

(And I always blame the Iphone touch screen when a move goes wrong - wonder who else has felt that before... lol)

Thanks! Still learning though. I couldn't do shit vs your Cammy :p. But what you're saying about your Rog also goes with my other chars xD

I never found a use for that move, aside from using it instead of command grab due to armor. I'll try to use it more then.

Lol why the "sometimes"? My Yun has always been classy, but sure TenOnez is just inspiring.

Not sure if you have seen this or not, but check out the stylish corner reset http://youtu.be/bBIC5vT-85Y

I didn't, but about why people hate Yun, he stuns opponents easily, and people hate that. Command grab, PKP xx Dragon Kicks is my favorite combo when using him.
And yes, I also have some input error. You saw me using EX SRK at the start of the match, when I was actually doing the EX Demon Flip input. And then sometimes the game read the EX Chop input as Chop. I didn't have those problems with SFxTK

Ex command grab has throw invinc and can take 1 hit. It is a good reversal tool to deal with meaty attacks, but if your opponent delays his jump attack just slightly then your armor might not save you... Plus this move has quite some recovery if u miss... So use it carefully!

I'm not exactly sure what the topic is about, but I got it was regarding dealing with those pesky Abel resets and grapples, no?

I've found that with Balrog, my main successful strategy is to backdash and then zone in and go for their legs with c.MK (in this case being a punch to their legs). I've taken out many a Gief and Abel lately by getting them paranoid about those low hits - it threw out their whole tactics. Sometimes I miss and try to jump away, if they get too close, especially against Gief - you generally want to keep your distance against that hairy beast.

I'm not exactly sure what the cure is to those pesky input errors. They're quite annoying to say the least. I practice often but somehow I always pull off the same mistakes; namely, command grab instead of EX Lunge, and Ultra sometimes instead of EX Shoulder (especially when there's a little lag)

Hahah!!! Sorry for that offensive "sometimes"!! I guess it was undue and uncalled for! I think we've never played much together but I noticed that we have played Yun mirrors before, I had a replay up from ages ago still on my replays page.

I think the only thing my Yun has ever been described as is "unpredictable", never classy. About a year ago when I managed to get to 3K using just Yun, I was playing most of my games while drunk (went through a rough patch then). Funny enough it turns out that sometimes the moves that you'd logically pull off while sober, are exactly what your opponent expects by experience, thus my reputation for being totally unpredictable; it was the Vodka's fault :)

I'm sure yun is very fun character to play as once you get over the learning curve but he is a boring character to play against. Mostly because his combos are so damn long. Lol.

Edit: Damn, hieu beat me. Ultra, Yoga Blast xx Super is 645...

    Using Gief as dummy. Done.

Spacing is kind of weird, though.

Yep, that's his biggest combo though. He has a ton of 200-300+ damage combos though.
