I invited SolidHoj28 to TA. I see Kaboom has played him. Anyone else? Another Cody player for Harle.

Fei Long's hop (f+k), will hop clean over a crouched C Viper, Cammy, Makoto, Vega or Sakura. Also crosses over Akuma, Chun and Honda in the corner.

I think he fought TenOnez too, seems to be a decent guy. Will welcome him if he joins.

    The low tier.
Was playing some random select yesterday. Got Chun Li. Ugh. OK, let's try and make this work. Playing a Blanka. I jump at him for a crossup, he wakeup ultras, I float over. He holds P so Blanka is just sitting there doing his spinny electric ball thing. I ultra. Chun Li goes through the ball and gets hit from behind. LOL.

So I've been trying Yun (I guess Abel isn't enough low tier for me), and I have a couple of questions:

    1. What is better for Genei Jin (for damage): abuse of specials, use more normals or try to mix it up?

    2. What's the most damaging combo that you've done with Genei Jin? I did one with 543~ using the palm on corner as a start up but I didn't notice what I did (LOL).

    3. How reliable is to do a cr. LK + st. LP + target combo instead of cr. LKx2 + target combo? It deals like 30 more damage but I can't do it consistently. What about you?

    4. Why Yun x Sagat/Zangief is such a ridiculous match up? I barely can beat CPU when I face those two guys!

Any extra advice will be appreciate.

In the old days that combo used to deal 680 damage with the full ultra.

Did they change damage scaling or Ryu?

They change the juggling stuff, that's why Ryu's Ultra doesn't connect with all the hits.

Oh, so that's why Shakunetsu doesn't fully connect. I didn't know that.

Yun vs Abel is actually in Yun's favor from my experience. His options after a knock down are all pretty bad for Abel.

    1. depends where u are. If you're doing it at the corner then palm + overheads cycle do good damage. If you're outta corner then I suggest u do lunge with overheads to push opponent to the corner and start doing palms. Reason being Palm = his most damage special, but can't combo outside corners

if ur timing is good then try Launch kick then (upkicks + crHP)xN cycle that deals good damage too. Corner only

    2. With ultra it is easy to get 700+ damage. With only super then I think I have a combo around 550 damage starting with palm too.

    3. I prefer doing crLKs in a block-string coz it will catch people mashing jump or back dashes during a true block-string. Normally when I have landed a few tick throws with command grab my opponent gets jumpy or back dash happy. Multiple crLK will take care of that. If damage is what u r looking for then just do crMP x2 into special

    4. Sagat is hard coz of his ridiculous FB, tiger knee and stHK. It is very hard to get close and Yun needs to get close to start the momentum. Gief coz he can literally inch forward slowly, wait for u to do something and lariat will take care of any approach u tried. Yun can't really zone Gief out... his pokes aren't great

The way I look at Yun is a knock-down based momentum character. He is low tier coz of his low health/stun. His strength comes in after a knock-down when he has lots of options to catch people off-guard, but a mistake like eating mashed DP can do more harm to Yun than other characters so knowing when to ''let ease'' is the key.

the easiest way to learn Yun would be watching TenOnez's rep. I have some decent reps too :D

practice the timing + angle which Yun can cross up with his dive-kick after knock-down. This is particularly useful vs charge characters (mess up their charge) or people who mash DP on wake up (coz u will land behind them and free punish with lunge... etc)

they'd rather fight fireballs than dealing with throws + canon spike guesses :p
