Ah, he must've uploaded the replay then. So, that's Haroldskingdom's alt account now? Yeah, but nah, I won't RQ on him. Volt's not even serious enough for that and he's not worth the effort of pressing the Home button. He's just a troll, so eh. As much as I've bodied him in the past, I say let him have it since it's that serious. He defeated my mighty Akuma, that's obviously so world reknown , so I guess he has that under his belt. Poor guy, it makes me feel good that I gave him a replay that he could use, finally. After 100+ attempts, countless home button RQs, and about 3 hate mail messages later, he finally got it. I did a good deed. *Golf clap*
I like it. The only one I have recently is from an Akuma. I get a lot more hate mail using Cammy than Ryu
Step kick after cr. HP on corner gives you one or two options. Since we played I've been using Abel more often. I played against this Cammy and I was surprised about all Falling Sky I managed to land. Maybe the replay could help you. I've been trying to practice Abel on arcade since I don't have Internet at home. It's a pain to practice Falling Sky against Gief and Guile is totally a douche.

Dash forward doesn't work. The surprise forward is a few frames longer than the dash forward. Technically backdash works as well for the timing. Surprise forward is nice because it's mashable
Ggs! Hieu! That bison match is exactly what I expect from you and it was great! In your face and rushing down that's how I remember playing you I'm pissed that my freaken ultra got away from me in that makoto match:| Nice finish in the last match, I thought I had the chip win
This is a huge problem for me at times. For some reason, I do have moments where it doesn't get in the way, but those are few and far between. One idea that I have played around is cutting a sliver from a screen protector and placing it at the edge of the screen. This way, I have a sense of where the end of the screen is (particularly on the left, which is my bigger problem). It only lasts so long before it starts to lose traction and fall off though.
I've played him a ton. If I remember correctly, he abuses the hell out of those hopping mixups and jump kicks against my Abel.
I saw that replay this weekend. Good stuff! I use the Falling Sky pretty similarly at times. The problem is that against good competition, you eat a huge damage combo on whiff, and against weaker competition you eat an ultra on whiff. Yeah, I've found that Abel has a lot of bad matchups, with Guile and Gief being among the worst. Cammy, Viper (I think), Makoto and Yun are pretty bad too.
IMO, Gief isn't a bad matchup for Abel at all. Once you get a knockdown, Gief can't do anything on wakeup. TT beats all his reversal options, even super and ultra. All he can do is backdash or jump, both punishable with ex wheel kick. Abel's got better mobility and marseilles roll gets out of splash shenanigans. I think it's in Abel favor actually.
Abel has a big advantage on Gief's wakeup, but Gief has an even bigger advantage on Abel's wakeup. TT beats a lot of Gief's moves, but all Gief has to do is jump and he has an easy punish.
Abel is one of the worst characters in the game. He has trouble with anyone that abuses neutral jump. Even my scrubby crappy Ryu took Killyin who I think was the best Abel i've played in awhile That Chunpon guy is kinda like Shane lite...not as inventive but pretty good. He gets uppercut a lot though...
I want a piece of your Ryu. It's a tough matchup for Abel but I really enjoy it. Is Killyin really that good? I've seen some replays of his matches and he definitely has the BNBs down but I've never seen anything that tell me his record is legit. Not to say he's not really good with Abel . . .
