Great idea Nash, enjoyed watching them so far. I dont usually post any replays, but I save them all in ifile. I'll probably look through the archives and start posting some, if you see any you like feel free to include them.

They are getting spammier, especially the ryus. But a lot of it is the Hungry App (akumas).
If you ever land a grounded ultra any normal followup will reset them. I like yoga spear.

But the chance of landing the grounded ultra is very slim

I've played against 2 of them. They don't like close combats and that is kind of annoying.

Stupid question, but what is the difference between a grounded and non-grounded ultra? I assume the latter has to do with catching an opponent when they're landing?

Also, what's the deal with hungry app? Is that a BN team? I've seen that name a bunch of times but never thought anything of it.

The best Akumas in Japan's team 100Demons (a whole team of Akumas) are Towlkin-Moe style, IN YOUR FACE !! They rarely play FB teleport, and if they do, it's a pre-emptor to slash kick or rolling attack..

Mr Gouki even REFUSES to use Ultra.. Against him and his peers (sssssss, Jr Gouki, dai demon) I feel kinda guilty whipping out the desperation Gief Ultra.. Sometimes I shut up their vortex with a timed Gief EXSPD, but sometimes I miss and must cop out to the Ultra.. :(

Hungry App (or Happ) for short, are the Scientology of BN.. You can recognize the members with "happ-" in their GC names.. No individual names, surrender to the whole.. :p

As A WHOLE, they are prolly the best team on BN now, and have kept their skills sharp as when they rivalled TA and Denjin in Winter 2011-2012..

Watch the opponent when ultra hits. If it lands aa or after a focus, they will be off the ground. You can only do (ex) yoga flame) or super. If you land it when they are grounded, you can followup with anything because they aren't juggled

I've played against very few of those akumas. I find them easier to play against. I guess, one of us gets blown up more often.

They only recently started the Happ_##.

They aren't very good. At least from what I see they are just a bunch of sissy akumas

far as I know there are three akumas at HUNGRY APP. and for me they are a very good Korean players like, BBQ MEAT, SHIN SMS, psy, eskapade and many more. They are all skilled players. try playing with them.

Before I forgot, BBQ meat is one of the Korean top gamer of KOF.

I'm pretty sure they are not only Akumas. I've played with one of them who used Cammy, and after sending her to the oblivion he tried to counterpick with Sagat. That Sagat is a solid one.

Don't forget Ralfjon (aka YYOJJO) is there too, and so is happ_styner.. TOP NOTCH players, and you don't here a cricket chirp from them on BN.. All business, no talk; they're the epitome of..

I wish bytouch was still around.. I loved watching his Gief..

If you played those 100Demon leaders in-accordance with THEIR RULES (no Ultras or Supers outside of FA cancels, EX only).. It's quite an amazing experience, a very technical match but TOUGH to make a comeback on (as only damage scaling helps cut their lead).. Those 100Demon leaders are amongst a few of the Japanese players that play the game and add these neurotic "rules" as part of the challenge (some play Off-Off, some no Super-Ultras, some do not tolerate a whiff of lag, some NEED to FA juggle etc).. They don't so much care for the match result, so much as The Achievement... I think it's all part of distinguishing themselves.. (more examples: yjork, Nakamu, chaporuu, Shogo FeiLong, Bluff.jp, 7 Claw, leaders of MC Family, the Off-Off leaders of Team Gief)

It's not like I use supers or ultras with guile...

Most of the Happ people I run into are akumas on jap server
