ok, i thought just that akumas can always keep a distance and play defensive style, but you are better players so probably know better.

    Haha you ready for this...

    Makoto.

Yup and she made my Volt time miserable but I don't know there's something about her character I love.

Nope I just read up alot on this stuff, I consider myself fairly decent in SSF4 AE but Volt is a game I get destroyed in alot.

Haha sorry man my yun is horrible right now, ill have to work on him. Good games though, fei has been out for a day and yours is already solid :D

Edit: Yea my Abels not bad, I used to play just him but I got bored so I switched to Cody for a while. Im having some major character selection issues right now. Fei long, Sagat, Yun, Abel, Cody and Cammy are all characters im considering. I think I might stick with Yun for a while. If hes just not that great ill go back to Abel. DECISIONS :S

I want so much to use her. But it's ridiculous how rough some of her match-ups are. But she's always one grab away from demolishing any match.

Yep. and be barely in range for the first rekka to connect. Rekka from in-close is badly punishable.

Doing arcade with Fei Long -> rival = Abel
Doing arcade with Makoto -> rival = Fei Long

(Doing arcade with Yun -> rival = Chun-li)

    :D

EDIT: or you could simply go to Survival mode to listen to Fei's theme :p

Her game plan is to mix up her super jump flame kicks and thunder knuckles, the she does alot of damage when she has the other player confused.

Basically you want to connect her normals to her thunder knuckles.

    Cr Mk > Thunder knuckles
Jump Hp > Cr Mk >Thunder knuckles
Jumping Hp >Flame Kick > Ultra

I believe those are her bnbs that they teach you in challenge mode.

For her though you want to consantly be changing you game every second for example

    Cr MK > Flame Kick
This is not a combo but it's a mix up to get them confused if they block you can go for a grab or try to land other moves.

Airborn flame kicks are nice too to change the jump timing and to bait out certain moves, but they are also highly punishable by focusing through them, so if you want to use it for a combo you should toss the Jumping HP in there to save yourself for being focused through.

I never was any good with her but I always thought she was insane if anyone ever learned her faint timings and links I just never had the ambition.

If you want an idea of how she should be played in the real game look up videos for a guy name Latiff or Wolfkrone, they are both amazing C Vipes.

Wake-up mix-up is her best plan.
You have options of (when you're right next to them):
    toss
    cr.K-knuckle
    UF+SP crossup flamekick
    U+SP flamekick

Otherwise, I would get to medium range and groundpound or double-groundpound.

Medium range, you're looking for groundpound->superjump flamekick.
For punishing whiffed SRKs, groundpound->superjump flamekick->rising knuckle

If you get them in a corner she can apply crazy pressure. Stay just within cr.K range so you always have the option of cr.K-knuckle.

her rising knuckle is her anti-air.

    super runs through fireballs.

Always super-jump cancel her groundpounds, with either another groundpound or a straight-up flamekick or SJ flamekick.

Once I get a better wireless connection, I can use a bit of viper.

Anyone noticed that they made Fei Long's stage the same as Blanka's, e.g. the jungle? It would be better if its in Chun Li's stage, considering they are both somehow from the PRC...
