1. I dont rely on warp to escape pressure 2. I am slowly learning proper blocking with auto guard off 3. Accuracy in timing better with sp off 4. Accuracy in distance 5. Accuracy in combos 6. Carefulness has improved These are some major changes ive seen at this early stage off off
We played a couple times but the one you did send me a request was the one with just blanka and a bunch of my scrubs I did sneak in a Cammy and you were uber aggressive which didn't end well for you...but we know what happens when we play like that against our mains I'm using Ryu way more cause I wanna master him now.
That reminds me. Did you play my Abel recently? I played a throw-happy Cammy that reminded me of you. I can't remember the person's GC name but he/she also used Ken, Blanka and another character I think, but no Ryu. I don't know why, but the name made me wonder if it was you (along with the constant throws).
Lol, I knew I had to of sent you an invite. I rarely send them but when I do it's because you are either good or I see potential AND I had fun. It's apparent that I enjoy matches against you
I sometimes wonder why so few people play a rush down Deejay. I know he's not a very strong character, but he can really mind f*ck people when he rushes down. Instead they play him like a poor man's Guile and back into a corner to throw fireballs.
@iwshane the downside my speed went down a bit but with more pratice can do it again. Some moves not possible to do quick with bison like double knee press to psycho crusher.
I could tell your Abel was a little rusty so I switched to have fun. Cammy Abel just isn't fair I can't be the only throw-happy Cammy out there I was keeping a low profile as I've only just begun playing again... so no disrespect meant if I didn't reveal myself
My experience with him so far is that playing online with him is hard unless the connection is perfect. His moves are basically the same as blankas and yet I have trouble with them, the timing is far tighter. For example I can reliably launch his projectile, quickly, about 30% if the time and yet I can do blankas ball, quickly, and repeatedly almost 100% of the time. And sometimes his rapid punch comes out too easily and sometimes it doesn't come out at all. For my skill level I don't think my deejay is super lame or spammy but I'm still seriously lacking match up knowledge and some match ups lame is all I'm capable of doing. Vega, and bison are probably my toughest match ups. I get killed by anyone with a pulse
Nah, no worries. I can't remember what time it was, but I vaguely recall that I was playing in bed. I was definitely frustrated with my play, particularly in the non-Cammy matches, but that happens sometimes. I think it was actually a good connection this time which would be a change for us. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I just thought it was you. Not many Cammys play the same style. I actually do pretty well in that matchups, but when they know how to punish correctly it's very tough. If I lose the match, I gotta say I really enjoy switching to Sim to beat a Cammy.
That's really strange about Deejay's moves v. Blanka's moves. But yeah, it's so frustrating how Deejay's MGU and Honda's HHS (as the two examples I can think of off the top of my head) come out so easily by mistake. And don't get me started on Bison. I lose to so many awful Bison's. He and Blanka (nothing personal) are the two matchups that I just don't enjoy, with Bison by far at the top of this list. Characters like Cammy, Viper and Sagat are tough matchups, but I almost always find them a ton of fun whether I win or lose.
Question To whom it may concern: One question popped up out of my mind. Do you think OFF OFF sometimes makes u play lame? i mean u always think of blocking properly. Like safety first then counter attack? Just a curious question, no harm meant. This is a subjective question, what is really OFF OFF for you guys? For me I know what it means to my bison. I am pointing character specific I
It's hard for me to say generally, but I'd say yes for Sim and Abel. I find both to be very tough characters to play off/off. Basically, with moves so hard to pull off consistently, it leaves me with less weapons in comparison to my opponent (and they're not top-tier characters to begin with). I think that with charge characters, among others, it is easier to stay aggressive with off/off.
Based on my experience playing other off/off players they actually play more aggressive than on/on players. Kind of weird actually. But my examples are xion, slrc, myself.
That is very true. For sp assist I just wish the game treated sp assist moves the same as their non sp assist moves. For example, cammys dive kick can be done almost instantanious which in of itself allows for combos that would otherwise be impossible. With sp assist deejay can throw a projectile and then shortly follow it up with his double kick, not possible with sp off.
Yeah, I don't know how they'd do that, but there are so many moves that can be done almost instantaneous with SP assist (e.g., Sim's instant air teleports) that are just so hard to do with it off. I don't see a way to fix that, and assume that's why Capcom bit the bullet and included SP assist. Auto guard is a different story. On the subject of Xion, I just remember seeing a video of his Abel with SP assist off against a really good Abel (maybe NYC Chinatown?) with SP assist on. That was impressive.
So ai guess OFF OFF is really a subjective matter and character specific. But personally I like OFF OFF. I am amazed how CAPCOM VOLT how they balanced the strengths and weaknesses of the characters with regards to how they are played with.
Off/Off players know their characters better because they use more normals and don't spam srk all the time
@ HARLEQUINROGUE I get your point but? Can OFF OFF charcters be OFFENSIVE vs PRO SP ON DEFENSIVE OFFENSIVE players?( charcater specific) I mean Please give me generic formulas OFF OFF and ON ON on PRO playing Btw i KnOw guile vs bison OFF OFF--- GUILE is on advantage 70% to 30% win chance
