I thought you block cross ups by holding the direction of the jump? So if I'm facing right and the opponent is on my right and they jump over me I press left? Or do I have it backwards?
Sounds like your device might not be able to handle the app, and is crashing because of lack of memory. I have that issue with some of the newer games, and I'm on a ipod 4th gen. And you're running a legit appstore copy, yea?
BlankaShane Bad GUy [_> .............. <_] (_) ............... (__) ___\ ............../____ and then <__] (Bad Guy crossing up shane) (__) /____ ......[_> ......(_) ......____\ BlankaShane You would have to hold -right- to block it.
No, no, I'm not bragging. I meant, with autoblock, you can block crossups, without doing anything. (Neutral) Btw, any tips for Cody, Guile and Chun? I wanna learn more. Experience-wise. I don't have much experience. XD I still get caught with srk, fadc, throw.
Depends on the move. Some moves hit the side they came from, but land on your side. True crossups hit from the back, and force you to block the ither direction. You block all attack by oushing away. Some attacks hit away, so you have to press towards. So, Ryu for example. For his J.K, if you wanna block it, you either block forward or back, depending on spacing. If you just fiddle around, and get basic knowledge with everyone, you'll learn their cross ups. Then you'll know when to block. Ambiguous cross ups can be hard to block, but practice makes perfect.
Oh of course, Autoblock autoblocks.... But people still get hit by crossups. I guess the subgame involves people not expecting crossups and certainly not from a Guile, so that makes it more useful than it should be. General character tips: learn BNB, learn spacing/priority/range of moves. Learn safe jump and basic setups. I can help more if we play. But it's really about learning the feel of the character and not doing bad things (sounds obvious, I know) @shane, if you get crossed up, block away from where the opponent is in relation to you. An example would be a Dhalsim ultra and them teleporting to the other side. Block away from the opponent .
XD I'm so scared of fighting, because of heavy lag, and poopiness. I wish we could play without lag. Then I can pull off some of dose one framers, and your crazy fancy combos. We'll play tomorrow? Chatzy? I totally know what you mean. I have no idea, on what's stable and not stable, because playing against the AI and bad players, you can just chill. Like for example, Idk why, but I always use cr.mks for AA, just out of habit. It's pretty bad.
Well my reasoning is always that if he doesn't get a chance to use that offense much then it's a moot point. His moves are pretty easy to telegraph from a distance too. Sometimes I rush them down, sometimes I zone. It depends on what I think I can get away with. RE: Crossups. They took awhile for me to get the hang of because in SF2, if you're facing right and they cross you up, you have to block left. I still get caught up by those because I'm so used to blocking the same direction. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that what J6U is saying about true Crossups vs moves that hit to the side makes Sense. Mooken's diagram was awesome! xD
I don't think zoning is playing lame, although its annoying when people play lame and then I copy them and then they spam fireballs. They go from doing nothing to mashing the sp button, how could that possibly be fun?
Spamming people is fun...especially when you use Akuma and you see people land on the fireballs I especially love playing spammy akumas and i get to spin knuckle them to death But Shane's played so many games, he just wants a challenge now BTW Shane, your DJ is a little Spammy too
Recently I have like a gazillion accounts and use many characters though. I think your Blanka roughed me up quite a bit
Hmm...I usually only bring out my deejay if I beat the person easily with my blanka Wait...were you using ryu?
@TENONEZ bro sorry bout lag maybe my router is acting crazy damn i really need rigid sparring am new to full off off. Although ive been using manual moves 50% of the time while ON ON its really a different story on full OFF OFF. But thanks anyway for being patient with the lag it was almost half an hour we played.
Lol, sneaky bastard. Did I send you a friend request? I wish I would have known it was you I would have used deejay more and practice my rush down with him.
What are the biggest differences you are noticing about your game now that you are off/off? For me it's execution. On manual mistakes happen on sp assist they seem to be rare enough that its not a match changer.
