I don't disagree with your statement about Honda's options on wake-up. This is an instance where Sakura has to play from a distance, and can completely control the match. Boring, but effective. Since she has a projectile, Honda has to come to her.
Shoot, you can do that? And how do you do Flash Kick? I can't manage to do it at all. Like, Flash Kick to Ultra I meant.
Harle's Akuma FA3 combos were a nice find. Flash Kick to Ultra requires pulling off the ultra manually, while doing Flash kick with SP On. And a day's worth of trial-error. Hold downback and charge. tap SP. tap & hold Focus. roll to downforward (so that you FADC) roll to downback roll to upback + SP for the manual Ultra.
@DROQQA By the way good games on xbox man. Im really trying to train rose as much as i can. I believe i have a better chance of becoming a good rose than a good juri. i think from now on i will try to keep my character selectio to juri and rose.
Don't even remotely understand how the bolded is possible. The first one produces a juggle state after the zanku hadoken which you can follow up with uppercut, ok. But the second one would require a standing state to follow up with st K, no? And doing instant air zanko hadokens off both a forward and back dash does not seem to work.
Yeah good games. I really want to learn Makoto, but it's so difficult! Need crazy hand skills to play her. Sakura is def my best, I've almost got her to B rank. Gouken is a distant second, with Sagat prob in a scrubby third. I can hit FADC step kick ultra now, but only going left. Rose is a cool character, she's got awesome normals and the best back dash.
I believe UpForward, UpBack, and Up are all valid for Guile's flash kicks and ultras? Likewise with Vega, UpForward vs UpBack will determine which wall he jumps against.
Watch the motions in the vid. The extra advice I can give you is to fadc the flash kick as late as possible. For Guile's crazy super/ultra motion you just need to hit up at the end, that's all FA 3, dash back jump forward instant ex zanku gohadouken I'm a sad panda you can't reset after those fireballs
Yeah, I'm gonna need to see a video on that EX zanku one. Is this against a specific character? Edit: Wow, just got it. SUPER strict timing. Had to do it on Gief.
Here's something for autoblock haters: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel If you don't manually block in this situation, you will get hit. Attempts 1-3 - holding down and letting auto block (not) do the blocking Attempt 4 - manually blocking down back Attempt 5 - disregard it since I mistimed my jump Attempt 6 - manually blocking down back Attempt 7 - back to holding down I didn't test it with other characters, but it should work the same way.
So .. I didn't think that holding down will allow autoblock to kick in. I thought autoblock only works if you let the controller stay at neutral? I might be completely off my rockers .. but that was my experience with autoblock on -- it never autoblocks for me if i'm just holding down. it'll fix the lag issues for me by blocking 1-second-delayed fireballs, but that's it.
My new task is finding out resets for characters, starting with air attacks after FA 3. Demon flip--> kick after FA can lead to some funny bounces
Just go to training mode, record the dummy to empty neutral jump then low kick (or just low kicks nonstop). During the jump get close to him/her, and just hold down. You'll block the low attack. Oh I forgot to mention that the trick works midscreen and the left corner too.
So that's telling me that the low hit on the Blanka Ultra registers as a sweep? or does it only work on the landing frames? (since sweeps don't get autoblocked)
