Hahahaha the randomness of AE online play! You know, right before I played you I managed to beat this 3kBP player his Juri was only 600PP though so I guess he wasn't using his main.
In AE each character has its own PP and BP i think, being a pro with 1 char and using another fir the first time starts you at 0
PP is Player Points and BP is Battle Points. Your PP the total points you have as a player. Regardless of which character you choose, you'll have the same amount of PP, even if the BP of the character is 0. Your BP are the points you've acquired with that certain character. I can have 15,000 BP with Fei, and 4,000 BP with Guy, but, if I have like 2,500 PP, you'll have the same amount of PP, 2,500, over the amount of points you gained with that individual character. So, if I play Ranked, regardless of which character I play, I risk losing Total PP. If one of my characters is low on BP and I want the character with the higher BP, I'd just pick that character. TL;DR PP = Total Points for you as a player. BP = Total Points you gained with that individual character. Fei Long: PP: 2500 BP: 15000 Guy: PP: 2500 BP: 4000
You sound like a happy person completely oblivious to the fact that you're about to run into a wall of chainsaws that are all running smoothly. Hieu: *running to wall of chainsaws* haha, time to die, squall bison! *chainsaw and screaming sounds*
Thanks a lot dude! It was really making no sense before. The bit I don't understand is how do you know that your opponent is going to have higher BP or PP than you (unless you know who they are or you press the "player data" button prior to the match). Most of the time I'll just jump right into the match....I guess it'll be something I do when I'm playing more competitively. Hahahahaha Hieu is such a cartoon character sometimes XD
No. Police vietnam is such a scrub. Im Under a different name right now so he didn't recognize it was me. The first 3 games its us going back to back with his Honda and my Bison, he eventually gets aggravated and counterpicks with Cammy. No surprise. He loses badly, he then picks Bison in order to prove a point I guess on who's the better Bison. He wins by the skin On his teeth. He makes me wait 5 minutes to get a rematch. Finally he picks Guile, again he wins by the hair on his chin in the last round. Makes me wait yet again for 5 minutes, I leave, no point playing an ego maniac like that. The community for this game is so ass...
Well, in Ranked, go to custom search and you can change the skill settings for what type of opponent you want to find: Less Skilled, Same Skilled, More Skilled, and Any as well as Region. If you pick "Any", or "Quick Match", then unless you've fought that opponent before, you won't know their PP or BP until you get to the VS screen where it's showing both of your PP and BP. Also, as in Volt, people will tell you to take PP and BP with a grain of salt. It shows you've played a lot, but it never exactly determines skill. If you're good in AE, then you're just good, regardless of PP and BP. @D4Gamers: Now you're understanding the community! Yay! Lol.
For ranked matches, you don't know until the character matchup screen shows up or you have already played them before and remember their record. There would be a lot of people running if they saw the other person's PP (why did Capcom decide to go with PP....... we're all going to sound like pervs). For endless matches, you can see the other person's PP since it won't affect anything? Maybe it will still record your win/loss with the characters, haven't paid too much attention. First of all, good job with that Bison power! PV is only good because all the matches with him have lots of lag input. Without it, I swear I would punish all those double sweeps and neutral jumps. But this is volt and his shenanigans will stick around until the end of time. As for the community, I could not imagine playing this game without being a member of TA and being surrounded by douchebaggery all around. Edit: Dang it... TeƱonez beat me to it.....
Anyone here fought "==Kenny==" before? About 3k Gief? Yeah, he just RQ on my Yun before I could KO him with just pressing "P" and juggling him in mid-air. EDIT: What I think is wrong with the Volt community is like what people think with most other games: People think they are better than they actually are. In a game where you have a system that will "Standing Guard" for you and do your special moves at the push of a button, you can't really take it seriously, but people do. Also, it's on Wifi, which is a big no-no for online fighting games. It's fun, but a good chunk of the community don't want their precious Volt profiles ruined because they did poor in one match and are afraid someone is going to upload the replay and they'll get laughed at. No! Not my precious electronic Battle Points!
Awsome Guide to learn makoto, many thanks to the uploader YouTube: video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lZK7Uns--4
I've played him before and he is your typical geif. Build up super and ultra, wait to use them and win. I don't think I ever seen him do a combo. I usually play mind games with him but his connection sucks so I usually end up eating his ultra doh!
So I'm thinking of visiting the US next year sometime. Can you guys please fill in this spreadsheet with GCID, name and location? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmKDWM-kZ0AJdHdLaWZFVHRFNXBScDdSV0lyRTNpVUE&pli=1#gid=0 The sooner I have info, I can start planning
