So I've been playing the odd game of SSF4 AE on my laptop and I have to say it's hella fun! Love it! I'm so not bothered when I get trashed simply because, What am I supposed to do when I'm uncoordinated with the buttons on my keyboard!? (Naffin!) The worst thing is that my crappy keyboard doesn't register normals (like m.K) when I hold down+back. I really need to invest in a joystick. I'm currently a trashy 2/300bp/pp player...worry not...I'm on the way uuup!! Love Yang, Dudley, Seth and ofcourse Bison. Haven't played with anyone outside of these lot yet.
If you're going to get a stick, get one that's not only good, but will be compatible with whatever console, PS3 or 360, that you're going to use. Christmas would be the best time, since they'll probably have a Christmas sale at the major stick manufacturers which will cut down a good bit of the cost.
Funny thing is that I first started playing SSF4 on the keyboard but I couldn't get pass a certain skill barrier so after much deliberation I bought a TE and never looked back. Here's a pic of my TE if you want a reference,

Oh and one more question, I'm on "Live" by Windows to play online, does that mean I can play Xbox players?? It's probably searchable as probably this is what happened with capt. I would assume this would be done by tampering with the replay file

If you're playing on PC windows live, then you can only play other PC players not Xbox nor PS3 players. If you want to play Xbox users, you have to play with the xbox version on the xbox. Hope this helps.
The only part that is messed up is the name when downloading the replay, right? That's a bug that's never been fixed in the game where it keeps someone's name stored while playing the cpu. Then when you go and save it, it uses that name. I'm not sure what the conditions are, but I remember uploading a replay against a cpu and it had PV's name for some reason (don't know if I deleted it). OMG! I thought I was the only one that pronounced it like that at first. 1111111111, you should add that eñe and those dumb slrc-style inverted question and exclamation mark somewhere. Oh, and I tried some Volt late last night. I'm sure lag input played a huge role, but I was winning something like 1 in 3 haha. Dat OP jump back kick with anyone......
