Seems fine to me. You're putting the opponent in an odd mixup position. I guess I like it more because of crossunders and weird bounces. Essentially stuff that most player would never have seen before
Just make sure you don't become a rage quitter who sends dumb messages after a match.....just have fun!
So here it is the teams for the 3vs3 exhibition matches http://volt.webcrow.jp/exhi/ (For those of you on mobile browsers, bluff is a guile player, dan is a akuma player and bank is a cammy player) And the bracket Though they asked for team captains to be japanese and they think n3ro is JP cause of his gamertag in jp volt. @LewsersCryQuit - i think hazure should be the captain since he is JP. Im up against you on the first round.
Interesting chun-li reset (corner) FA lv 3, FA lv 3, crouch high P (reset close) or Back dash stand p (reset mid range) or back dash stand high kick (reset mid range) or diagonal jump low kick (land behind in corner)
@harlequin - remember that combo you asked me for long time ago after fa level 3 to burn meter no ultra no super no corner and different to crouch high p, sbk. Well i came up with a new one aside from the one i had already posted that went up to 392 damage. The new one has an adittional 7 damage. FA level 3, forward dash, stand mid p, ex kikoken, fadc, crouch high p, sbk. 399 damage. (The old one didnt have a stand mid p and after fa lv 3 had to back dash.)
Oh the drama Capt !! Look, good friends H-ManDan and Fire_N_Lightning oppose each other first round.. Wow.. BTW I already told Kieran N3RO is NOT Japanese.. And since jiinior is the only Japanese on your team, yeah he should be the Captain/Anchor man.. Mingling is part of the fun so get going talking to your teamies, discuss play order, and Team Name...
Also found out a way to implement hazanshu in the middle of a combo, Fa level 3, backdash, ex kikoken, fadc, hazanshu, ex sbk or ex fast kicks or sweep or normal fast kicks
Sure stuff like that is a reset but its hard to follow up since they bounce far away. I do like the FA 3, FA 3, forward j k though Im digging this viper reset: (ex) seismo, (meter less) fadc, st jab, fadc dash under. Then you could time a low like another seismo or cr mk xx med knuckle But my point still stands. Chun Li has needlessly hard combos which aren't much better than cr hp xx sbk
Actually the first reset can follow up with throw OR crouch lk to a combo. The other 2 resets are in perfect range for a sweep. As for viper from far away a hammer, sj, air mid kik is a very cool reset, if close you can use air punch. The rest of her resets use meterless fadc. Ex thunder knuckle makes up for some good resets, but thats a crumple so all chars can do fa for a crumple.
Harley also, if close viper hammer, very fast sj to air mid kick lands viper behind the oponent. Edit: also Hammer, fa level 2, crouch mid kick or crouch low p or stand low p for a reset
gettinsniffy is a douche Hi guys, I can tell the best sets are always from one of this community, but sadly most of the players I meet are terrible mashers or quitters or both. I hope you know how good this thing going here is! Today my online experience was so frustrating, that I was considering going back to the console fully, even at the cost of playing considerably less. Then a message from gettinsniffy making fun of my Makoto (which I'm trying in the last few days, for fun and to force myself to learn to move better) really put the icing on the cake.
F that guy, he's a rage quitter anyway. Learning new characters suck but if you stick to it you will have another weapon when you go up against another character who your main has problems with. Welcome to TA!
That's really a pity to hear, someone making fun of your character. That's the reason why communities like TA have sprung up. Everyone (still) here is nice and willing to learn, teach and help. Stay around and stay cool
I remember him now! Yeah, he won't play me anymore because of sets we've had in the past. Eh, don't let it get to you. No matter which version you play, you're going to have people like that. Some people are pretty nice and just go gg or give tips or whatever and then some people are.. well.. you know. Don't let him mess up your focus on getting better with Makoto. She's not exactly an easy character to use, but if you keep on trying with her, you'll get better. She can be very dangerous when in the hands of a good player, also a lot of people tend to not play her so that's more motivation. You'd dominate with a character that's really underused.
Oh no jab is needed? siiiick. Viper has a tonne of reset potential (EX) Seismo, SJC, j p/k is too obvious. and Capt touched on those. I guess, what I'm really looking for in a reset is a really odd air reset or for a crossunder for a low mixup
Gaining thick skin will serve you well in life.. Even if you picked Ryu or Sagat, people would still ridicule you, not coz you s*ck but because some people just feel good putting down others.. STICK WITH Makoto !! Nashberry was the Makoto-prime in the USA network, he's had history turning a few of the weaker characters into SERIOUS threats under his use.. Most of the Makotos now in the USA network owe the gentler learning curve to Nash.. Do watch Makoto replays of Nash, and learn.. Mako is a HARD character to learn, but the satisfaction you gain climbing the ranks with her is VERY rewarding.. If you wanna play just to rack up wins, go ahead pick Sagat or Ryu.. If you want a victory over yourself, and the "can'ts", "impossible", "difficult","frustrating" that you feed yourself, then pick the more eccentric characters (Mako, Saku, Yun, Fei, etc) This board and Battle Network allows you to access the help you need.. Watch replays, watch your replays, and identify the mentors that can help you.. I was like you too just this passed December, gettin killed by Akumas with my Gief.. Now go search my reps (MonevTheGale), that's a lotta hard work to improve.. Thanks to mentors: Mr Zangief, Duyster, Inferno.. Success is 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration !!
