I don't have the Japanese App Lewsers. Sorry man. I did like the story you PM'd me though lol.

Console version also feels slower than Volt. Volt is the Turbo version while console versions are the regular editions, to me.

Generally better today and the connections were a whole lot better than yesterday. I played Polly and ZFXFZ.

I think I did pretty good against Polly. My Rog seems to be able to go head to head with his Cody. It seems like he reset his account too.

Now, ZFXFZ. Great player. Very good at mixups and yadda yadda. This set was out of 24. I lost the last match before he left. I won 16 - 8 with some close matches on both sides. I'm not happy about it though. It feels like I lost 4 - 20, because I got caught with stuff that I shouldn't have and got outplayed in a bunch of rounds and had trouble figuring out some counters to stuff. I feel like I could've done better than I did.

Idk, style? And you can do in the corner: Ultra, Ex Shoulder fadc, Ex Shoulder. Yun should do a backflip instead, and it looks cool.

Does anyone ever do target combo, palm feint, then other stuff?

OK Tenz, as promised my HILARIOUS story fighting U Message Me I LOL..

We played an epic 7 game series or so, very exhausting for me.. Each time he used Sagat, it was DEAD CLOSE, he'd win but he was one SPD away from losing.. He kept getting caught by EX bflat thru his Tiger Shot, and also the Geif SUCK IN when Sagat's jump K goes downward.. Then he'd mix in Akuma but he'd always lose badly.. He switches to a Ken but he got destroyed bad, esp with me blocking his SRK and punishing with EXSPD finish.. By now I think he cluing I ain't all that lousy.. (By this point I'm beginning to inch close to 50% win rate)

He does back to Sagat for 3 more games, he won the first one close again, but now I win the last 2 (EXSPDs really froze him).. By this point I decide to leave from fatigue, he's won most of the matches but I quit on a win streak, and he knows I'm not a scrub..

As I message him "thanks for epic games... all very close.."
He beats me to the punch and says "play some more you chink"..
I send my message, and he replies "I won more so you lose"..
I say "yeah but you seen someone EX you all over the map like that ?? EXSPD on you baby !!"..
He replies "f*ck you f*ck you chink"...
I reply "FOR A GUY WHO WON MOST OF THE MATCHES, YOU ARE AWFULLY PISSED.. WHY ?? Nice games !!"..

Dead silence that's that.. Yeah he won most of the games, but I left an impression enough he wanted me back BADLY !! He's the guy who couldn't "get it up" ON THE FIRST DATE and is harassing FOR ANOTHER First Date.. LOL

Guy's such a sore winner, and a sore loser.. People like this I do not miss playing in Japan.. After 10 games or so on US server, it's too much to put up with RQs and GC taunts on US BN..

Also, I have found out that I can still record, but the app is a bit temperamental. I will try and work on something while I am injured and away from work.

I think I'll upload some basic stuff now - 2 full matches where I used a reset

    http://youtu.be/umANCaKL0Do

Now that I finally uploaded, can I get some feedback? Would you guys like to see guile resets in matches or will training room examples suffice? Do you want to see the whole match, the relevant round or just the relevant bit?

Also, sorry, Heif. XD (To Heif's credit, he has mashed out of that setup every time since then)

Very nice! Between you and towlkin you guys are the reset masters!

Unless you have a bunch of different resets I prefer to see the whole match.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. xD

    I like this explanation! ;)

If anything I'd think the throw whiff would make it harder to hit the opponents while they're crumpling. I dunno though. I don't know why you'd do that when it'd probably cause you to miss the combo opportunity altogether.

New international phrase for "moar games plz?" xD

Wow that's a hell of a story. A sore winner is something I don't think I've ever come across. But i gotta admit your telling of the story was funnier than the story. xD

    Thanks for the feedback.

Do you guys find these resets impressive enough? The second one is a bit more boring, but I love that first one! It's really hard to pull off though

They are impressive when they happen to me:eek:

I wish blanka had some depth like this.

I posted a blanka reset a while back: FA 3, (wait), cr lk, surprise forward, cr lk x2 xx whateverl

    Against:
    Sakura
    Fei Long
    Makoto
    Cammy
    C Viper
    Cody
    Vega
    Akuma
    Yun
    Balrog

You can do FA 3, cr lk/st p/f+p FADC and cross under. (hit them really late with it). Obviously this is just for style points

Against Vega and Akuma you can do FA 3, jumping P, dash under.

Interesting Note: That above list of characters are ones with floatier resets. So the Cammy reset doesn't work on them. TenOnez' characters, as I found out all belong to that list.

After a reset like that, cr lk seems to be the best move as it hits low and they switch blocking sides. You could also go for a slide, a jump crossover, a(nother) surprise forward, a grab or whatever option you want to style with

Thanks Capt! I also saw the Youtube comment.

I think the way I will structure it is, I will do a video called 'Advanced Guile techniques' with various parts showing high damage combos, resets, ambiguous safe jumps and some flashy stuff. And I'll punctuate the vid with some match replays.

There are 2 options for how I can go about it. I could do 4 parts of the video (similar to what I outlined above) or I could do 1 longer 15+ minute video or something. Any preferences? Or should I make each part and upload it, and finally upload a full length one?

So tonight I was strolling along friendlies and came along this 0 bp Sagat. I didn't bother looking at the player name screen beforehand. When the fight started, I thought "let's kill this noob real quick" and went on getting the business handed to me. I was thinking who the **** is this guy?! and looked at the player name on the rematch. Sir.Farmer...you sly fox. I went into serious "no trolling" mode afterwards. Good games master of all characters, you put me on tilt towards the end!

I think if you can compile all in 1 video it would be so OP, and if you add a non copyright music to it you might get many viewers, but i know its not about the viewers. I upload my videos for fun and for the community :D. My last one was the SFxT combo video and its already at my top 4 most viewed in just 2 weeks, out of like 50 vids. People like videos that have it all.

How do I practice these? Just put the CPU on autoblock? When try the first rest he just blocks the second lk (I tried on akuma).

I also don't see how you can lvl3 focus and hit them with a jump punch.

Practice on the CPU for the timing is all. Setting the CPU to autoblock doesn't achieve anything. Try it in a friendly match against some scrubby 0 bp guy. The idea of the reset is that you just flip their controls and hit them with a low on the opposite side and go into a nice punish combo.

Hitting them late in their crumple animation makes them reset (ideally unexpectedly) so you can be punished while you're setting up your shenanigans

There are 11 characters that crumple slower than the rest. Of those, 9 of them crumple slow enough for blanka to connect with FA 3, jumping p. Some of them can be hit by jumping j. Vega and akuma both crumple slow and have floaty resets so you can dash under them for funzies.

I don't think there's much else blanka can do with resets since he doesn't have any air combos or juggles.

So auto block should be off?

For the first reset, should I be ending up on the other side of the opponent after the spring forward?
Nevermind I see you said I should be on the opposite side.

For the second reset you posted do I do everything or do I FADC one of those moves?

Yes, the point of most of the resets is to (unexpectedly) flip the opponent's blocking direction. Combined with the low, for them to block correctly, they must push df while they reset.

For the second one, use whichever move you are comfortable with. The FADC is a huge meter waster, but if you're styling people and just want to screw with them a bit it seems fine. The FADC is to dash under.

If you check out the replay I posted on the previous page, you'll notice I do a similar setup with Cody where I dash under. However, between Guile and Cody, neither have a good, quick, special cancellable low move to capitalise on the reset so I have to settle for a throw. Unfortunately Blanka can't dash under a floaty reset. Cody, Makoto, Fei, Sakura and Cammy can do it quite well though

Blanka has the cr lk which is perfect for the application.

For reference here's the cammy reset vid I put up a while back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dekf-sCCopk
It works quite well due to the spiral arrow being very difficult to block and being a low move
