Do me a favor guys and tell me if you think player (sagat) is playing lame. http://sf4iv-en.capcom.jp/analytics/replay_download.php?r_id=20121029_15451003_548_D4D4FC69_rpdata&d=
Nah mate, I respect Ches+...and that's saying something because I don't like many Sagat players (everyone except Berserker2nd, Duyster and BBQ-meat). Ches has strong SF gameplay, I've looked at a lot of his inputs and it's impressive shit.
I haven't seen the replay, but I know Ches as a sagat player can block really well. He's very reactive. Clonforever on the other hand is a very offensive sagat
Yeah lots of respect to Japanese players, good times. When I return I'm going to play these OFF-OFF players and take the no.1 spot that's so rightfully mine!! Japanese players got no excuses with lag with me, I've played them all and enjoyed the connection. Machi, gonna remember that one ;-) Auto block is mostly complained about by one person here (not that we don't all agree, we're just not as vocal as we should be) - TenOnez.
As pointed out in the following post, he plays reactive and that's about it. Blocks well? He uses autoblock, he should block well. And calling a player very reactive is a nice way of saying, "yeah he plays lame but he's good at it". And just for the record, Ches is very good, thats not the question nor was there any implication meant otherwise. I just want to know, looking at the replay and not the player, is it a lame play style? I think it is, simply because every move is a reaction to an opponents offensive move.
Ches blocks very well. Even with autoblock, I cross up most sagats easily and get them with high/low mixup. I still maintain that cross ups and high low mixups still work with Autoguard. Psxsquall blocks very well as does DROOQA. I know I block comparatively poor compared to the better players. On the topic of cultural differences, I started a new account on the jap network. I have 15 wins and 6 people have RQed. When I served my 200 games penance for Apprunner, I ran into about 20 RQs in 200 matches on the US server
Harle, I see RQ as "hit home button on deathblow or losing end of deciding round".. LOTS in US server, RARE in JPNz server.. I see LQ (lag quit) as "hit home button BEFORE round 1 ends".. Done by lots of JPNz politely before too much gets invested into the match, and egos get offended.. So yeah LQs happen lots in Japan but often before round 1 ends.. I prolly get 2 RQs a week AT (rare) MAX in Japan.. I get prolly approx 10 LQs a week in Japan, sometimes I initiate.. This weekend, playing on USA server, 10 deathblow RQs over 3 nights !!
It's all ragequits. Sometimes I'll beat them once then they'll quit on KO of the second match. The Japanese are salty when I rush them down with guile. I hardly get ragequits on US server anymore
I must be japanese then or I've perfected my lame style so much so that only a few people ever see me try to adapt :3 heehee More reps up on my channel. Good to great stuff by yours truly.
You get my respect but it's not like the same level of respect I have for tenonez and others who play without it.
