    Lol

I recognize and respect those that counter with normals but those players are rare (on the US servers anyways).

My point and it's always been this point: playing lame is boring and absolutely unnecessary when playing friendlies (that's my opinion and nothing more).

(Hilarious) words to live by boys 'n' girls!

To a certain degree, I agree with Shane. After awhile, it gets tiresome having to wait people out, especially when a majority of the players play that way. I never really found that to be the case when I was playing on the Japanese server, but I played a few like that.

I actually did a lot better over there than I did on our server and I played a lot of straight rushdown most of the time. They didn't seem to be able to deal with it as well as the players on ours. So Shane, maybe you should just rush them down and see what happens? If they play really conservatively and aren't used to dealing with rushdown players, maybe it could be to your advantage.

Most of the time that's what I do and there is nothing more satisfying than beating a lame, sp assist and autoblock using player by rushing the shit out of them! But then there are those that are good enough to actually know how to counter and my only choice is to play even lamer.

Honestly I'm not too sure have u really played the Japanese players b4 or basically those names u played was being presumed by u are Japanese. US server has very few Japanese players and vice versa for Japanese server bears little US server folks.

If u mean Off off users are more fun and less lame, there are a tons of Jpn players who do that. But u mean play style by adapting to how a player play and react accordingly (I.e. wait for opportunity to counter) is lame and boring, then I think as otherwise. These I view as high level play because one adapts how a rush down comes and defend to prise open a chance to counter and win!

Maybe because you have been in the game for a very long time and u wanted to have a different volt experience to entice u to carry on playing. As far as I know, there are Off Off users like Fernando whom accepts all play and juz dun continue another game if the player plays lame spam.

Difference with Jpn server like Loser said is there are very less RQ and no crazy press of SP fireball at our faces. I personally feel the people are much more respectful towards opponents and more receptive to all kind of style being played. My own opinion is always to respect all players in our words so that the good spirit of the game will be carried on. Win or lose is not the main idea here but the leanings and the enjoyment should b the top aspects in the game.

My feel is US server folks are always less respectful toward each other and we get GC invites with curses and swearings more than tapping the Good Game icon when we beat the daylights of him. Vice versa Jpn server gets much more GG taps and GC invites rolled in with kind words and respectful appreciation.
It could be time our US server folks do some self reflection on our behavior and learn to be more humble and dun behave like we always live in our own world.

    Just my 3cents worth anyway...

I hear you. That was always one of my issues with this game. If your opponent decides to play lame, there isn't always much you can do about it but play along and hope you come out on top. The game really dictates how it should be played rather than you deciding.

Oh crap. I have the "Display Recorder" ap but now it doesn't work. I assume it's because I updated to iOS6...

Might have to try alternate means to make a combo vid...

Yes sir! This. This is good. Replays are so pesky to go through.

Harley, could you just write out the resets? And for your resets, you could do whiff target combo 1, then hit target combo 2

Doesn't need to be a whiff. Just target combo is fine.

The reset also allows for a meaty st k which can be linked into sweep.

    My resets:
EX flash kick, fadc, cr hp, grab (corner)
EX flash kick, ex FA 2 cr jab/cr hp, grab (corner)
EX flash kick, fadc, jumping p/k, grab

My gosh, REALLY ?? There's even a derogatory term for turtlers over there, MACHI..

The top guys I play are fracking IN YOUR FACE using the most ZONIEST characters !! That guy with 3.5K and "?" at end of his name, he's in your face with a nutso ATTACKING Sagat, Guile, and Honda.. He'll frackin FA cancel everything just to get in your face.. His Sagat pushes my Gief to the corner REGULARLY !! (usually Gief pushes Sagat to the corner)

Go watch KieranHebden vs Moe, wow attacking Sagat !!

Dunno Shane, I see spam in JPN, and spam in the US.. Here the diff in my opinion.. Spammers in the US have ONE TRICK, THAT spam.. Once you're past it, they got JACK ALL.. Japanese spammers have LOTS more tricks (and skill).. Also JPNz are less likely to RQ, or GC taunt.. The post match conduct is just more civil..

BTW amongst JPNz Ace players, AutoBlock = "The Great Shame"...

Xion it's nice your academic obligations have not dulled your Rapier Wit.. Yeah I would not enable you to join the 3v3 matches anyway, keep focused on the books..

Agree Xion.. Most (not all) US players focused on The Result (win/lose).. JPNz players focus on The Journey or Means getting to the end; the result is simply a consequence of limited life bar and time.. Their philosophies towards martial arts, crafts, and life reflects this.. The Journey Is The Reward..

I dunno how else to explain these nutso Off-Off aces in Japan that could kick most SP Asst On players in the US network..

Very few players play like that, the only one I remember was snooper. I dont consider that style spam at all! Doing one move over and over again? Yeah that's spam but rush down like you said, and that pure fun!

Cultural differences. I dount every player over there is focused on "the journey" just like I doubt every player here is focused on the result. But it is interesting to note how those cultural differences affect gameplay.

Far as SP Assist is concerned, (and I don't know if you were here for any of those discussions we
Had about it, so this may be me beating a dead horse) I think it's more of a necessity on our server than theirs because they're more likely to have a playable (read: no inputs dropped) connection. Our server includes pretty much every non-Japan country the game is available in while theirs is for one little country (with blazing fast connections!) Id also argue that you can't play some of the characters to their fullest potential WITHOUT SP Assist.

Autoblock is bullshit, but I like it because it usually means people who don't know how to block, which generally means free wins for me because they can't defend against my mixups. ;D
